The dinner

"Are we eating dinner together tonight? you promised me you will treat me alone!" Clary stared at her fiance with a burning gaze.
"Fine fine fine, I'll eat with you" Jace replied as he sighed helplessly. Clary expression instantly changed upon hearing this and she quickly typed a message to her bestfriend who was also her roommate since she had promised her that she will be back early, but this did not cause her to miss the expression on Jace face that appeared and disappeared within a second.
(I might not come back at home this weekend I will be at my fiance's place remembee to eat and go to bed early don't wait for me)
Jace looked at the message Clary was sending and got annoyed that his eyes turned red, " Is it a must that you have to inform her of your whereabouts?"
"offcourse I have to she is my best friend, I don't want to let the people who care about me worry" Clary replied calmly, Jace gritted his teeth and did not say anything as he was full of anger.
Clary looked at Jace who they had grew up together and they were considered as childhood sweethearts and wondered what exactly had happened to them because lately her fiance whom she thought she knew very well has been distanced to her and seems to be agitated by her presence and anything she said or did. By the thought of this her image started to grow paler by every minute because this was not a good sign while there wedding was just around the corner. The frequent calls had reduced to one or no call per day, text messages were being replied after hours.
While Clary was deep in her thought she did not realize that Jace had send a message and after some few minutes she was snapped back to reality by the beep sound of her phone to indicate that she had a new message on her phone.
she quickly unlocked the phone to find it a message from her bestie Amberly.
Bestie: (That's ok but im also out having dinner with some friends, see you on monday)
Clary was immediately releaved as she knew she had not disappointed her friend.
She walked into Jace car which disappeared within second. After fifteen minutes they stopped at the underground parking of a first class hotel where both Jace and Clary walked out of the car side by side towards the elevetor and went straight towards the fifth floor.
When they arrived they were welcomed by the hotel manager.
"greeting president Jace, your reservation is this way"
Jace nodded to reply the greeting and followed the manager to the reserved table while Clary only followed behind them.
A few minutes after they settled down a waiter came with a menu in her hand. she was dressed elegantly with a professional smile on her face.
The dinner went smoothly and they were on there way out of the restaurant when Clary bumped into Amberly.
"Hey I didnt expect to meet the both of you here" Amberly said
"Me too, I didn't expect to see you here" Clary replied
"Hi Amberly " Jace greeted with a smile on his face.
"Hi too Jace, Clary told me she will be out and I come hear to meet some friends and have dinner"
After a brief encounter both Jace and Clary proceeded to the the parking lot. Clary fasted her seat belt on the passenger seat when she noticed that Jace has been looking at her.
"Whats the matter"
"Nothing, its just that I have some business to handle to night so I will have to drop you to your apartment"
"Okay" Clary replied calmly and immediately there was a beep sound to indicate a new message and suprisingly it was from her bestfriend Amberly claimly she wont be at home for the weekend.
The ride to her apartment was silent since none of them wanted to start a conversation.
