Chapter Six : Taye vs the Den

201 Words
The Den was wild with music, smoke, and dirty laughter. Baggy sat on his throne of rusted chairs, a cigarette between his lips and a cold beer in his hand. “BA!!” The doors flung open violently. Taye stormed in---rage in his eyes. Baggy raised a brow. > “Who be this one?” Everyone laughed. But Taye didn’t. > “So you abandoned us?! For two days you’ve been here, drinking, laughing, while Tola’s rotting in a cell!” Baggy didn’t even blink. > “He failed. That one na una business. No kidnapping, no money. Simple.” Taye’s breath caught in his throat. His fist clenched. > “You used us.” Then—he pulled his pistol. Pointed it straight at Baggy’s head. Silence. Then—click, click, click. Over 50 guns pointed at Taye from every dark corner. Baggy smirked. “This one get mind.” They rushed him. Boots, fists, blood. He went down swinging, screaming his brother’s name—until everything went black. > “Enough,” Baggy finally said. “One brother’s gone. Let’s spare this one.” --- And like waste, they dumped him at the back gate of a government hospital.
