The Hannah Beth was a first-class airship, and when Patrick first saw her, moored at the aerial dock, he could not take his eyes off her. When he and his parents went aboard, he could not go near the edges of the gondola because the great height made him dizzy. Now he sat and dangled his legs between the rails over miles of sky, feeling like a king between the winds.
At last he stood up, calling to his mother, “I’m going to look around.”
