"Abby, are you okay?" asked her father.
"Yes sir," she said.
"Jackson are you okay?"
"No, my shoulder is funny. I'm mutated already."
"Okay, just sit still for now."
Seifert squirmed and broke free from the wall webbing and padded around them to take his place next to her. The cat rubbed his face and body on her legs.
"Best thing we can do is wait for them to find us," said her father.
"We skipped," said Abby.
"What does that mean?"
"No one is coming. We skipped away and are too far." She knew this because she knew most everything about Mars. The orbital infrastructure around Mars concentrated upon the inhabited side of the planet and not the wild side.
"They're coming."
Her father tried to move and gasped in pain. He slumped back down. "We have to wait for them to find us."
