The punishment
«“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” — Jude 1:6»
The war in Heaven had ended.
The beautiful heavenly realm that had once been filled with songs of worship was now silent.
The angels stood motionless.
Some looked toward the Almighty with reverence.
Others stood among the fallen angels, their faces filled with fear and uncertainty.
Lucifer stood at the center of the darkness he had created.
For the first time, there was no confidence in his eyes.
The rebellion he had imagined would make him a king had failed.
His followers were no longer celebrating.
They were waiting.
Waiting for judgment.
Lucifer slowly looked around.
The angels who had followed him were no longer speaking.
Some lowered their heads.
Others looked at him as though they were beginning to question their decision.
Lucifer's heart was filled with anger.
He refused to admit that his pride had brought them there.
Instead, he looked toward the throne of God.
He still believed that he could find another way.
Then the voice of God filled Heaven.
The sound was powerful, yet there was no need for shouting.
Every angel heard it.
“Your rebellion has consequences.”
The fallen angels trembled.
Lucifer lifted his head.
He knew that what came next would change everything.
The heavenly light surrounding them began to fade.
The fallen angels were separated from the faithful angels.
One by one, they were driven away from the place they had once called home.
Lucifer watched as the gates of Heaven moved farther away.
For a moment, he stared at them.
He had once stood among those who worshipped the Almighty.
Now he was being cast away.
His pride had cost him everything.
But even then, Lucifer did not repent.
Instead, anger burned inside him.
“If I cannot rule Heaven,” he whispered, “then I will rule somewhere else.”
His eyes turned toward the earth.
The earth below was filled with human beings who knew nothing about what had happened in Heaven.
They lived their ordinary lives.
They worked.
They dreamed.
They desired wealth.
They desired power.
They desired beauty.
They wanted to be remembered.
Lucifer saw their weaknesses.
A smile slowly appeared on his face.
“The earth,” he whispered.
“That will be my kingdom.”
---
The fallen angels descended toward the earth.
They were no longer surrounded by the glory they once knew.
The darkness followed them.
Some fell into forests.
Some disappeared beneath mountains.
Some entered the depths of the waters.
Others vanished into places hidden from human eyes.
Lucifer gathered them together.
They stood before him in silence.
“We have lost Heaven,” one of them said.
Lucifer turned toward him.
“We lost Heaven because we were not prepared.”
Another fallen angel stepped forward.
“What do we do now?”
Lucifer looked toward the earth.
“We build our own kingdom.”
The angels looked at one another.
“But how?”
Lucifer smiled.
“Humans.”
The word caught their attention.
“Humans desire everything,” he continued. “They desire wealth. They desire beauty. They desire power. They desire fame. They desire gifts. They fear death. They are easily influenced by what they desire.”
He paused.
“If we can control their desires, we can control them.”
The fallen angels listened carefully.
Lucifer knew that he needed more than ordinary followers.
He needed leaders.
Powerful beings who could control different desires and spread darkness across the earth.
He looked around at the fallen angels.
“Seven of you will stand above the others.”
The group became silent.
Lucifer stepped forward.
“You will become the Seven Lords.”
---
The first angel Lucifer called forward was Damian.
Damian stepped out of the crowd.
Lucifer studied him.
“Damian.”
“Yes, my Lord?”
“You will become the Lord of Wealth.”
Damian's eyes brightened.
“You will control the desire for riches,” Lucifer continued. “Humans will see what you possess and want it. You will offer them wealth, luxury, expensive things, and everything their hearts desire.”
Damian smiled.
“They will come willingly.”
“Yes,” Lucifer replied.
“And once they come, they will become yours to influence.”
Damian bowed.
“I accept.”
Lucifer turned to the next angel.
“Don.”
Don stepped forward.
“You will be the Lord of Gifts.”
Don looked curious.
“You will understand the human desire to possess what others have. When people envy their neighbours, friends, family, or strangers, you will appear with promises.”
“What kind of promises?” Don asked.
“Anything they desire.”
Lucifer smiled.
“Give them what they believe they cannot have.”
Don bowed.
“I understand.”
Next came Dom.
Lucifer's expression became darker.
“Dom.”
Dom stepped forward.
“You will be the Lord of War.”
Dom smiled.
“You will feed hatred.”
He continued.
“You will create division. You will turn people against one another. Where there is peace, you will plant disagreement. Where there is disagreement, you will encourage hatred.”
Dom's smile widened.
“And where there is hatred?”
“War.”
Dom bowed.
“I accept.”
Lucifer then looked toward Helena.
“Helena.”
A beautiful angel stepped forward.
“You will be the Lord of Beauty.”
Helena smiled.
“Humans will always desire to be more beautiful,” Lucifer said. “They will compare themselves with others. They will become dissatisfied with what they have.”
Helena nodded.
“You will make them believe that their appearance is never enough.”
“I understand.”
Next was Pinky.
Lucifer looked at him for a long moment.
“Pinky.”
Pinky stepped forward.
“You will be the Lord of Fame.”
Pinky smiled.
“Humans love attention,” Lucifer said. “They want their names spoken. They want people to admire them. They want to be celebrated.”
Pinky's eyes gleamed.
“And I will give them what they want.”
“Yes,” Lucifer replied.
“But make them understand that fame always comes with a price.”
Pinky bowed.
“I accept.”
Then Lucifer called Jack.
“Jack.”
A powerful-looking angel stepped forward.
“You will be the Lord of Power.”
Jack looked toward Lucifer.
“You will tempt humans with authority,” Lucifer said. “Make them desire positions above others. Make them believe that power will make them important.”
Jack nodded.
“And those who have power will want more.”
Lucifer smiled.
“Exactly.”
Finally, Lucifer turned toward the last angel.
“Mackie.”
Mackie stepped forward.
“You will be the Lord of Immortality.”
The room became quiet.
“Humans fear death,” Lucifer said. “They want to live forever. They will do almost anything to escape the end of their lives.”
Mackie smiled.
“You will make them believe that death can be defeated.”
Mackie bowed.
“I accept.”
Lucifer looked at the seven angels standing before him.
Damian.
Don.
Dom.
Helena.
Pinky.
Jack.
Mackie.
The Seven Lords.
“You will each have your own kingdom,” Lucifer announced.
The earth beneath them seemed to tremble.
“Your kingdoms will be hidden from ordinary human eyes. Some will be beneath the earth. Some will exist within the waters. Others will be hidden in mountains, forests, caves, and places humans rarely enter.”
The Seven Lords listened.
“You will have servants,” Lucifer continued. “You will have messengers. And you will have followers.”
He looked at them one after another.8
“But remember this.”
His voice became cold.
“Do not wait for humans to find you.”
The Lords listened carefully.
“Go where humans are. Enter their schools. Their workplaces. Their homes. Their communities. Even places where they gather to worship.”
Lucifer paused.
“Study them.”
The Lords nodded.
“Find their weaknesses.”
His eyes darkened.
“And use their desires to lead them toward darkness.”
The Seven Lords bowed.
“We will obey.”
---
The kingdoms were created.
Damian received a magnificent palace surrounded by treasures.
Don's kingdom was filled with mysterious objects that seemed impossible for ordinary humans to obtain.
Dom's kingdom was surrounded by weapons and the echoes of distant battles.
Helena's kingdom was filled with mirrors that reflected impossible beauty.
Pinky's kingdom glittered with lights, music, stages, and endless celebrations.
Jack's kingdom was built high above the earth, surrounded by symbols of authority and power.
Mackie's kingdom was hidden in a place where time seemed to move differently.
Each Lord received servants and messengers.
The messengers were given different symbols so they could be recognized by the Lords they served.
Then they were sent toward the human world.
Some entered schools.
Some entered businesses.
Some entered wealthy families.
Some became advisers.
Some became friends.
Some appeared as strangers.
They had one mission.
Find humans who were vulnerable to temptation.
The Lords themselves remained hidden.
They were waiting.
Waiting for their first true followers.
Lucifer stood alone as he watched the messengers disappear into the human world.
He smiled.
The earth had no idea what was coming.
---
Far away from all of them, Bamidele sat quietly in a beautiful garden.
The afternoon sun touched the leaves above her.
Birds sang softly.
For a moment, everything seemed peaceful.
Bamidele closed her eyes.
Then she felt something.
A strange presence.
Her eyes opened.
“Selena?”
There was no answer.
Bamidele stood up.
She looked around the garden.
The wind suddenly stopped.
The birds became silent.
A cold sensation moved through her body.
“Selena?”
Then she heard a familiar voice behind her.
“The Dark Forces have arrived.”
Bamidele turned quickly.
Selena stood several steps away.
Her expression was serious.
Bamidele stared at her.
“What dark forces?”
Selena didn't answer immediately.
She looked toward the sky.
“The war will soon begin on Earth.”
Bamidele's heart began to race.
“What war?”
Selena looked at her.
Before Bamidele could ask another question, Selena disappeared.
“Selena!”
Bamidele ran toward the place where she had been standing.
There was no one there.
Only silence.
Bamidele looked around, confused and frightened.
She did not understand what Selena meant.
But deep inside her heart, she knew one thing.
Something had arrived.
Something dark.
Something powerful.
And it was coming for the earth.
To be continued…
