Emrys was getting ready for the ceremony in Lincoln’s room with Lincoln and Tony. His mind though was on Sabrina. He was trying to figure out what had changed in the last few hours. When they first met, after the effects of finding his mate had worn off, he was resolved to stay aloof from her until they had figured out who was hurting their packs. Instead, he found himself looking for her, listening for her. He wanted to go find her, just to look at her, even if she was mad at him. He loved the way her blue eyes got darker with fire when she was mad at him. He also loved that she was already taking charge and challenging him as a mate. She wasn’t shy, or quiet. Emrys was so absorbed in his thoughts, he didn’t realize that Lincoln and Tony were trying to get his attention.
