The entire Council gathered at the building in Locke Village with more curiosity than concern for what had befallen me. Xaero was beside me the whole time. We lied through our teeth. The story I spun was that I was swept into a dark nothingness— a cavern so deep and dark I found myself wandering. I found nothing, I told them, as calmly as I could. My dream simply showed me the way out when it wanted to.
