"Will you do me a favor?” Laurie glanced at me questioningly as we put our stuff in our lockers for the day. “What is it?” “My father will be picking me up from school,” I said, handing him the keys to my car. “Would you mind if you take the car home for me?” His jaw drops open as I drop the keys in his palm. Laurie takes one look at it before asking me, “Are you sure? A-aren’t you worried that I might, I dunno, scratch it? Maybe even total it badly?” I shrugged at him, wholly unbothered. “Take it for a spin if you want, just don’t eat anything inside it,” was my only request. In truth, I just did not care. “Sweet!
