Chapter 43 The rain let up after an hour by which time the ground had become very saturated with water. Puddles formed wherever people trotted on the soft earth, making for a difficult time to get from point A to point B. It was also colder. Whatever heat that had emanated from our surroundings was now gone and signaled everybody that it was going to be a cold night.
