Unfortunately, Laurie had to run to his own first period on a different floor altogether since he had a quiz scheduled. I practically had to wave him away just so he could make it. English for me was with a missing Mr. Rogerstein, which made me breathe a little easier. I didn't want anything to dampen my mood. Still, I knew this would be a long shot.
I had the same English period as Dennis Ackerman, a boy I previously thought of a human, but recently discovered as a halfling. The question remained, however, of his the lineage. Was he part Fallen? Was he an accomplice of the enemy? I shuddered to think the possibility of both scenarios.
