It wasn’t hard to decide that I did not envy my mate her job.
I was allowed in on the Council meeting today at Locke Village, the afternoon after Ella’s birthday. The party lasted way beyond midnight but we only stayed until after Zachary had deigned to leave which was just a little before twelve. Neither the Fallen nor Ella mentioned the agreement that would be meted out soon when we said our goodbyes. Goodbyes, not farewell because we held out hope that we would still see each other soon.
