WIFE BEFORE HELLO

CHAPTER 1
PLAN
Faye's Point of View
I'm not surprised anymore when the restaurant is filled.
Not to boast or anything, but my restaurant offers the world's best foods.
But most of the time, eating here are those people with girlfriends, boyfriends, situationships, or even married partners.
But I never felt jealous of them.
So what if I am single? Duhh.
As long as my best friend remains single, I will remain single as well.
Tss. Not that she's still single—according to what I last heard, Kennedy returned and now Mark is pursuing her. Long hair, talk about it, right?
By the way, my name is Faye, I'm 24 years old, and I'm going to be turning 25 this upcoming July. I own a restaurant, and I proudly proclaim myself NBSB — No Boyfriend Since Birth..
24 years of life in this lovely world and yet NBSB. Am I to blame that I was too busy working and had no time for that so-called love life?
I had suitors—many of them—but I rejected them all. At the time, I was getting started with the restaurant.
I figured, if I got into a relationship immediately, I would never be able to concentrate on establishing my business. So I let love simmer on the back burner.
And now that I really need someone, nobody's even making an effort. Fudge.
I literally have to go find a sperm donor just to get a kid. I don't even require him to sign on—just the sperm.
The moment I entered the restaurant, my assumptions were proven true—so many customers once more, and it's not even 9 AM!
"Good morning, Ma'am Faye." said mister Benj, our guard, who has been with me from day one.
"Good morning, mister Benj." I said.
"By the way, Ma'am, Ma'am Mari is in your office." he continued.
What brings Mom here? The last time we talked, she was still in Australia!
"Thanks, mister Benj!" I said, rushing to my office.
"MA! Why are you here again?" I asked as soon as I entered my office.
"Yiee! Nice to see you again, sweetie!" she said, hurrying to give me a hug.
"I just wanted to visit you, is that a crime?" she said, faking sadness.
Arghhh…
"Mom, didn't we plan to meet on my 25th birthday?" I asked irritably but concealing my annoyance—no doubt she would be upset if I expressed it.
She exhaled loudly. “I'm here now, let’s swap restaurants for a while. You'll run the restaurant in Australia and I'll handle matters here." she replied with a cunning grin.
"What are you up to, Ma?" I asked.
"Huh?" she answered, feigning ignorance.
"What are you plotting, Ma?" I asked again.
"I'm not plotting or into something, my beautiful daughter. You're just dreaming." she answered, that wicked grin plastered on her face.
"Tss."
"Alright, here's money, buy your plane ticket." She handed me cash.
"Mom, I have a friend who has an airplane. Why would I need to buy a ticket?" I asked, reclining in my swivel chair.
"Shoo, go away. Your restaurant is in no danger here.." she said, effectively kicking me out.
Arghhh!
Calling Ms. Alien
[HEY, what happened to you?] asked Dane as soon as she answered.
"Can I borrow your plane?"
[Sure. When do you need it?]
"Now," I told her, hearing her cough on the other end.
[You crazy girl, don't put that on me like that. Damn. Do you really need it now?] she coughed out.
"Yeah. Okay?"
[Where are you even headed?]
"Well, my mother returned home and wants to exchange spots. I have to go to Australia now," I blurted out, irritated.
[Nice, you can tag along with me. I'm taking my plane too—I'm also going to Australia.] She was obviously smiling.
"Tss. What are you doing there?" I inquired.
[Secret. Just show up at Nens Airport. I'll pick you up there.] she stated, before hanging up.
I ARRIVED at Nens Airport
“What are you even going to do in Australia?" I asked Dane, who seemed like a queen reclining next to me.
Just because she owns the plane.
"My grandpa told me to do something. You know how he is—when he does not get what he wants, he blows his top." she said nonchalantly. "I'm gonna sleep. Wake me when we're close.”
"Tss… Fine. I'm sleeping too," I said, also falling asleep.
I WOKE up suddenly when Dane shook me awake.
"b***h, I should have told myself: 'Dane, wake yourself up later when we're close. Wake up Faye too.'" she said mockingly.
"Where are we now?"
"i***t, the plane already landed." she said, leaving me alone inside.
I glanced at my watch—6:58 PM. We departed Manila at 10:18 AM, so we must've arrived at around 6 or 6:18 PM.
I slept for so long, I completely lost track of time. She's surely furious.
So I chased her down—she was already disembarking from the plane when I caught up.
"Hey bebs, I'm sorry!" I called out while I approached her. "Bebs, I said I'm sorry!"
"Faye, nearly two hours were wasted since we slept." she complained, obviously irritated.
"Huh? It was just an hour." I replied. The Manila-Australia flight is six hours.
"What do you mean 'just an hour'? Let me remind you—we're taking a private plane, so it's quicker than commercial planes." she snarled.
You're so stupid, Faye. Of course it's a private plane! Arghhh!!
"Sorry, and anyway, even if we get in by five, it would still be night—people are busy breaking things down or hanging around by then."
"Tss. I need to get a place to stay for one week, idiot."
"You can come stay at my house."
"Tss, do you want your house to explode?"
"Of course not!"
"Then don't invite me to stay at your house, 'cause I swear we'd blow up in there." she laughed.
"Take the condo unit beside mine—just lease it for a week."
"Nobody is staying there?" she asked.
"There was, but they're remodeling now and weren't paying rent either."
"Mmm nice, let's go. I forgive you—if you feed me if I ever stay in your house though." she said, smiling and pulling me off the plane…
…where a Lamborghini was already waiting.
