Chapter 56
Present (Back at Ulysses' Office)
"What happened to the mother and daughter?" Aaron asked curiously after Harold narrated.
Harold shook his head in response. "I was unconscious for three days after that. When I woke up, I was lying on cardboard piled up inside a small tent."
Harold recalled the events after waking up that time.
His body hurt, especially the gunshot wounds when he tried to move to get up. He winced in pain when he sat up while holding his waist. He noticed that part of his body was bandaged, as well as his leg. He looked around. The tent is large enough that it can fit about five people.
"Oh, good! You're awake!" Said the woman's voice that entered the tent.
This woman was carrying a small saucepan. Harold could smell the soup from there.
