Ulysses can clearly see how Chloe fears the man. "I don't know what kind of b*stard told you to abduct her, but I assure you that you will gain my wrath because of this!" Ulysses said firmly.
"You seem to be forgetting something, king!" He tightened his hold on Chloe's neck. "I'm holding in my hands the life of the most important person in your life. So don't threaten me!" He shot Chloe's thigh without warning or sympathy.
"Ahhh!" Chloe screamed in pain. She wants to touch the wound by instinct, but the man chokes her neck.
"Chloe!" Ulysses stepped forward, but the man fired a shot in front of him that halted his step. "I'm going to kill you!" He promised.
"Let's see if you can, king!" He pointed the gun at Chloe's temple. "Tell your men to withdraw and let us pass."
