REIGN OF MAGIC: The last sorcerers.

CHAPTER 6.

As the crowd cheered in joy, the men came forth, and twenty one of them lined up for the whole congregation to graze at them. Then Ned continued, "Here are the men which we have searched and found worthy to lead us in unity, but now we all shall together assign them to the position in which we want them to serve us. Take a close look at each man standing before you, and tell us who you shall want to be your emperor, the one man, who you want to be the leader of the seven cities."

So the crowd took some time to inspect the men and then they chose Lucio of the city of Morgan to be the emperor of Gouna, so he left the midst of the other noble men as the crowd applauded him while he sat on a seat reserved for him.

Then Ned said again, "Now that an emperor has been selected out, it is time we choose those who shall work with him as governors. Note that each man selected here shall be the governor of the city of which he is from, therefore two men from one city will not be chosen as a governor, so now make your choice, remember that all standing before you here are worthy of the title."

And the saying pleased the people so they bagan to make their choices, and they began the selection starting from the capital. Isador was chosen to be the governor of Raia, Dewitt was chosen to be the governor of Benn, Claus was chosen to be the governor of Babb, Aatto was chosen as the governor of Rolfe, Keld was chosen as the governor of Narain, Oved was chosen as the governor of Morga and Efraim was chosen as the governor of Meo.

After the governor's were all selected, Ned said, "We have chosen governors who would lead us but the election does not stop here, an army must be raised to help in this fight, and our chose governors can not lead this army alone, they need those that will help them, so let us choose from these men those who will lead the army together with the governors. First we shall select one to be the general commander, and under him, we shall have commanders who would lead the armies in our different cities."

So the people chose Quin of the city of Raia to be the general, then Nicol of Raia automatically became the commander of Raia and also Gabe automatically became the commander of Morga because there were only three men from each city and the other two had been selected out as emperor and general. Afterwards, Brandt was chosen as the commander of Benn, Pascal as commander of Babb, Franz as commander of Rolfe, Orfeo as commander of Narain and Alain as commander of Meo.

Then wizard Pero brought forth an oil and Ned made use of the oil to anoint all the men that were elected to rule, beginning from Lucio the emperor, followed by the seven governors, Quin the general and lastly the seven commanders.

After he had finished anointing the leaders, he also poured the remnants of the oil upon the heads of other five men who were not selected, as he ordained them to be the first warriors of the empire and they were given the title of the warlords, and these were their names; Andras, Hoyt, Jafet, Renzo and Merle.

When wizard Ned was done with anointing the men, he then charged them saying. "Today you have been chosen to lead this empire, do not see yourself as though you are higher than another, because you are all equal, each one of you should submit to the other because you are under each other and at the same time above each other. The people have chosen you to lead them. Leading this empire is not for the people to serve you, rather it is for you to serve them in the best way you can to see that this empire which was built by our ancestors will not fall. As we all know that Verona is back and soon will be the dark lord, you are to return to your cities and begin to raise an army which will fight against them. We your sorcerers will not cease to visit you as the days go by, we shall continually come to your various cities to see how well you are leading them, therefore do not let us down and do not let the people down, we are all looking up to you now, once in a while, strive to hold a meeting were you shall all gather to discuss for the betterment of the empire and if you follow my words, then nothing, I repeat, nothing will be able to stop you."

"You speak as though you are about to leave?" Claus of Babb asked Ned.

"That is just because of my age, I am not going anywhere." Ned assured.

"You have asked us to raise an army that will fight against dark lord Kees and Verona, is there not a prophecy that tells of a sorcerer who would bring an end to the dark lord?" Quin asked.

"Yes of course, there is a prophecy which talks of the greatest sorcerer that will walk this earth." Craig answered.

"If there is, why then are we to raise another army that will fight against the dark lord, when we already have some to do that on our behalf?" Lucio asked.

"Like the wizard had said, man has tried to stop Kees but failed, also magicians have tried but still failed so it is time we join efforts together in order to succeed, the sorcerer will not do this alone, he will need some help from your kind and our kind." Demi answered.

"Also, this sorcerer has not been born, so we have begun the fight while we wait for his arrival and preparations. When he is ready for his destiny, he shall put an end to the war." Elda said.

"It is time you retire to your cities and begin your duty to the empire. We, the sorcerers, still need to find this child and prepare him for his destiny." Ned said.

After the newly elected leaders had returned to their cities to begin their works, Pero said. "Now that the issue of leaders has been finalized, we need to focus on finding this sorcerer."

"Yes, that is what we are going to look into, Verona may think that she had stopped the prophecy from fulfilling but I am sure that such prophecy can not be prevented from happening, no matter what she does, that child will come to life." Elda said.

"We need to get to work, there should be one of our kins who is pregnant with a son out there and she must be found before Verona does something funny to her." Ned said.

So they disappeared out of the place to look for this pregnant witch which they had assumed of. Also most of their brethrens, who are said to have strong powers joined in the search for the last of their kind.
