ELIJAH’S POV

The night was so long having to think about Sophia all night .I couldn’t wave the thought of how anxious she is to understand more about her family. She looks so exhausted but she will always say , she’s fine. The look on her when she found the journal could tell how exhausting these things are on her. I really think at this point, she needs someone.

I was so concerned that I went out in the morning to go be with her.

She opened the door giving me a surprise warm smile.

“ You came this early “ she said.

She told me I should be resting after the stress of the previous day. The more reason why I find this lady real interesting and attractive.

She is the real definition of perfection, she sees and feels for people around her. She nurtures friendships and always shows gratitude towards people . With all her achievements, she still humbles herself.

“Hi Sophia “, entering inside. “Hope you slept well “, I said.

She nodded while she assured she did. I enquired about her mom, she told me she hired a caregiver to cover up since we have a lot to do together .

My gaze shifted to the coffee table, looking at the journal widely open see clearly she has been with it all night.

“Did you find anything “ I asked sitting down close to her.

She reluctantly smiled and then pointed at the message.

“Grandma grew up in Oakland and she started her family there, i don’t really know much about her”. She said

“It was more about knowing relatives from my dad’s side, grandma was so protective and secretive that I didn’t know anyone from mom’s”. She added.

“Mom believed she had only her mom after the accident she had at 5 years where she sustained brain injuries that had her memory wiped off”. She continued

“I was curious so I did some investigation” she said raising her brows.

I immediately asked “ what did you mean?”.

She explained how she called a historical society in Oakland pretending to be a researcher that led to her getting answers she needs.

“What answers did you get”. I asked

She added she got the address which might be linked to her granny’s old house. I think that’s a start to finding Emma.

“I’m making preparations of going to Oakland tomorrow “ she grinned

I was so excited knowing she’s making progress, I cut in and told her she’s not going alone.

Elijah I can’t ask you that—you’ve done enough already “she hesitated

I immediately interrupted and told her that am offering and will be happy helping her out in this journey.

She narrowed her head not feeling too sure but some moment, she nodded .

We shared a lot of conversations together while making plans for the trip.

I had this idea, looking at how Sophia longed for family Christmas.

“Why not we do something fun in the spirit of Christmas” I suggested.

“Something like what? “. She asked eagerly

I told her we can go to local stores and get some Christmas presents and other decorations. Then we buy groceries to stuck up the fridge. We can celebrate Christmas certainly with Emma when we get to know her.

She turned with a smile.

“I’ve been thinking of that but I don’t know how long this trip will last”. She said skeptically .

We left later to the local store , then got some Christmas decorations, gifts —while she reach for few over-the-top ornaments- being all goofy while she held a glittery reindeer, a snowman with sunglasses while smiling at me for approval.

I laughed and said “ Those are ridiculous “

She chuckled and threw them in the cart.

“It’s mine now” she said.

After a having a fun filled shopping, we left to Sophia’s home. We jointly decorated the tree. After hanging the ornaments and stringing the light, I climbed to hang the star on top. I looked down and noticed her face all glowing as she glances at me

“All done”. I said.

“It’s beautiful right?” I asked, while I got down.

She nodded and her eyes were piercing into mine as she drew closer to where I was standing.

At this point I couldn’t control the rhythm of my heart, it was as if the sound coming from my chest will rip it off.

I couldn’t hold my feelings anymore, all that could came out from my mouth was telling her gorgeous she is. I moved quite closer , she gave me that smile that makes me want her.

She whispered to me “ I’ve always wanted this moment for so long”.

I drew her into my body, and our lips met. It was the most passionate kiss I’ve ever had. I could feel her body pressed against mine, and I could feel her breasts pushing against my chest. I ran my hands through her hair and pulled her closer.

We broke the kiss, and Sophia looked at me with those seductive eyes. “Let’s go to the bedroom,” she said.

I didn’t need to be told twice. I took her hand and led her to the bedroom. We undressed each other, and I could see the desire in Sophia’s eyes. My desire became intense as I saw her undressing Her stomach was flat and perfect.

I pushed her onto the bed and climbed on top of her, feeling her body on my chest. I touched her tummy gently and she let out a moan of pleasure

We lay there for a few minutes, our bodies entwined. I looked at her, and she gave me that smile that always made me want her.

“I’ve fallen in love with you, Sophia,” I said, my voice trembling.

A smile spread across her face. “I’ve fallen in love with you too, Elijah.”

We covered ourselves with the duvet. I knew already that am in safe place. We all cuddled up and it was the best Christmas am going to experience. I knew that Sophia was the one for me, and I was grateful to have her in my life.
