CHAPTER 10A DESPERATE MOVE It was nearly noon. Less than three hours had passed since Nick Carter and his two assistants set to work on that eventful morning. There was a change in the scene in Captain Casper Dillon’s library. Nick Carter was seated in one of the large chairs near the wall, tied to it and with his arms secured behind him.
