After I ended the call with Sienna, I called Cole. "Lena, don’t," was his only response. It sounded as if he hated me now.
I wanted to let him know how sorry I was. I wanted to be honest with him and start everything over, not because the walls were closing in on me, but because I truly love him.
Even though he did not hang up on me just yet, all that came out of my mouth was a whisper. "Can we talk? Please come back to me, Cole. I love you, and you love me too.”
