THE SUN SHONE OVER the island on the day that Nora married Matt. She wore a princess sleeveless white dress with little pearls all over the torso. The dress hugged her chest and waist but flared around her legs.
Nora had had some reservations about wearing such a virginal dress at first. She had been married before, after all, and it didn’t seem right to wear a white dress.
But then, she had discussed it with Marjorie, who, together with Becka, Lily, and Maggie, insisted on going with her to buy the dress.
