Walking into the cafeteria I just felt myself in a haze, I was feeling a mix of embarrassment for bumping into Noah but then I felt memorised by him.

Snapping me out of my thoughts

“Beatrice!!”

“Are you ok??? What’s going on? I said your name like 4 times and you didn’t respond to me” she said in a concerned tone

I giggled a little “yea I’m ok! I’ll talk to you about it later ok?” I said with a beaming smile on my face

After lunch was literacy and I’ve never looked forward to a class so much in my life, also been so nervous. I just haven’t been able to stop thinking about him, it’s kinda getting annoying now.

Walking through the door, I sat down at a desk which was towards the front, getting set up, I waited for the teacher to start the class.

“Good afternoon class! I have a a few announcements to make” the teacher said in his normally enthusiastic tone

“I know a few other class that are doing this and I don’t want to hear anything about this, I’m going to assign seats to you guys” the were so many sighs around the class room “if you can prove that we don’t need this in place, then I’ll rethink about it, it’s a privilege to be seated where you want, so don’t come up to me afterwards because it’s going to change nothing” he said in a firm tone making it clear he wasn’t changing his mind

“Looking at the board, I’m going to present an excel sheet with the placements”

As it came onto the board, all the complaints starting happening under people’s breaths

“Now please get up and move to your seat”

I gave my name a small glance, being disappointed as who I got paired up with, sadly it wasn’t Noah. Ashley, it was Ashley. She’s hated me for years, she only stopped picking on me because of Beatrice, she’s friend with all of them, so she didn’t wanna be seen as the bad guy. I moved to my seat that was second row to the back on the left side, waiting for Ashley to move towards the seat, not to my surprise she was talking to the teacher, she’s was batting her eyes, twirling her hair and pouting her lips, she does that to every guy when she’s trying to get what she wants, the conversation stops

“Class, Ashley for personal reasons needs to swap seats, her reason was valid so no complaining about it” rolling my eyes, of course she pull this shit

“Noah swap seats with Ashley” my heart stopped, oh s**t, oh s**t, oh s**t, my nervous went straight out of the roof, he did not just say that? As I was internally panicking, the chair was being dragged next to me. Looking over to him those green piercing eyes was looking straight into my mind

“Hey!” I said smiling, trying to compose myself

He nodded, and just looked towards the teacher, as he announced the other things like upcoming test, a group project.

Half an hour of silent went by between him and I felt this sudden body heat

“Do you mind if we can swap seats? I prefer the window side” he whisper in my ear. I frozen in place, he was so close I can smell his cologne,

“Is that a yes or no” he said a little bit impatiently,

caught off guard I forced out a reply “Ye..ye..yea, if that would he..help you” looking towards him, he was so much closer then I thought he was, he had his face so close to mine, I felt myself going red

“Are you going to move then” he said leaning back

“Ye..yea I am” I’m so embarrassed, and frustrated how does he have me so flustered, no other guy has done this to me and especially one I’ve just met

“Class the bell is gonna go in about 5 minutes, for the group project I’ve sent you all out an email regarding all the i formation thats required for it, your partner is your new desk buddies, I expect this to be done in 2 weeks”

“First day back and already got homework, yay!” I mumbled to myself

“When would you be free?” I said looking at Noah

“We can go to the library if you want?” Not wanting to be completely left alone with him not knowing if I could stay concentrated if we weee

“Library works, would today after school work?” He mumbled under his breath

“Sorry I can’t, I have practice for boxing after schools Mondays and Fridays”

“Tomorrow morning then?”

“I’m so sorry I promised my best friend I would turn up to her training!!” I said looking at him with an apologetic tone

He rolled his eyes “I have to pick up my brothers tomorrow after school but if you wouldn’t mind coming around, I’ll be free”

I hesitantly nodded my head agreeing

“Here’s my number, give me a text so I can send through my address” he said as he got up at the perfect time of the bell ringing, leaving me there still flustered

~ 7:30 ~

Getting home after the long day I’ve had, with school and practice all I wanted was a long shower, looking at my phone to se dive received notification from Beatrice

- I know I haven’t forgotten. Just so you know, I’ll be crying the whole time I get ready tomorrow hahah x

Jumping into the shower, I already started to feel better. Kick boxing always helps clears my head, also keeps me fit, I’ve got a competition in about a month so I really need to start getting prepared and ready for it. After cleaning myself, washing my hair and shaving, 20 minutes went by finally getting out of the shower and changing I check my phone to see Beatrice replied

- already picturing and laughing, feel the pain I do every morning haha! How was practice?

Quickly replying, I remembered I forgot to text Noah, saving his contacts into my phone I sent a quick message

- Hey! This is Olivia here! So sorry I left replying so late, I got caught up and forgot :)

Closing my phone and trying to get on with my night, without thinking about receiving a message from him, I found myself checking my phone every 5 minutes

“UGHHHHH!!! I need to stop obsessing over him!! He doesn’t even care about me, I barely know him as well, this is so cringe”

Forcing myself to do anything but check my phone, i decided to watch Netflix scrolling through I finally decided to watch how to train your dragon for the millionth time, I will never be too old for this movie. 30 minutes in I found myself drifting off to sleep
