(Amelia's POV)
The black Phantom glided silently through the roads, the engine's mild hum almost soothing. Yet, the atmosphere within the car was anything but calm.
Alexander sat beside me, his hand loose on the steering wheel, his green eyes fixed ahead. His scent of cedarwood and mint filled the air, but there was a sharpness to it now—a tension that was impossible to ignore.
I bit my lip, feeling the weight of his controlled silence. Through our mate bond, I sensed Logan, his wolf, pacing restlessly in the back of his mind.
Gathering my courage, I spoke softly. "About the estate... Maybe we can wait until after the marking ceremony to decide on the arrangements?"
