"Mark my words, Alpha," he said, his smirk as sharp as ever. "She’ll come crawling back. A week, maybe two. She’s not made for that world with the Eastern Alpha. She’ll figure it out soon enough." I clenched my jaw, keeping my face blank. Inside, I seethed. His words grated against me like nails scraping on stone.
