Alexander carefully held the book I’d given him, his fingers lightly tracing the silver-embossed lettering on the deep blue cover. His expression flickered between curiosity and something I couldn’t quite place.
“This edition,” he began, his tone low but thoughtful, “isn’t this the special silver anniversary release?”
