Chapter 6

885 Words
Four years have passed by. I have stayed in the shadows and have not let her see me. Of course I check up on her to make sure her dad is not trying anything funny. Like taking her somewhere that I can't find her. Even if he did tho, I would be able to sniff her out. Lucky for him, he has complied. Since he is a rogue, which means he doesn't stay with a pack, he is considered dangerous. Rogues have no purpose so they tend to cause chaos. My pack and my lands are closest to where he resides so technically I could take him out if I needed to. I had decided not to for obvious reasons. I have told him if mate is physically harmed in any way, that he would beg me for death. So let's just say we have a mutual understanding. Mate is older now and more curious than before. Her innocence and sweetness have stayed the same. She is the only thing that makes me smile. Her body has filled out with a lean waist line and plump breasts. She is of average height. About 5'7" I would say if I had to guess. I feel like I cannot wait any longer to be with her. I am like a powerful bipolar grumpy old man that looks hot. I am either frustrated and mad or depressed. I spend most of my time handling pack affairs or training.. As these last couple of years have passed, sleep is merely a thought. I take naps one or two times a day at about two hours a clip, always in my wolf form. I feel like my human self has lost touch with this world so I only use that form when it is needed which isn't much. My brain is just on overdrive and my instincts have taken over. I think it is time for me to make my appearance known. I just hope I do not frighten her when I reveal myself, in both forms. ***Malia's POV*** "Happy birthday!!" Yells my dad. Yes, today is my sixteenth birthday! I am so excited because in a few days I will be able to get my driver's permit! On the road to being more independent. Although I have just woken up and am still in bed! Dad has brought me in a chocolate cupcake with a lit candle. He sings happy birthday to me and I blow it out. "I hope you made a really good wish sweetheart." "I did!" Of course I cannot say it outloud but I wished for someday to find true love. The kind of love my mom and dad had before mom went all crazy. I haven't spoken to or seen my mom since that day. She does try to contact me from time to time thru phone calls and texts but I just ignore them. I see my brother every now and then. Not that often because we are both busy with our social lives. We talk on the phone all the time so I know he is doing well. "I will see you for dinner tonight. Wherever you wanna go ok?" "Sounds great dad." With that he leaves my room so I can get ready for school. I throw on a pair of black leggings with a black off the the shoulder short sleeve shirt. It has small silver and glittery stars all over it. I run a brush thru my hair and slip on some white socks along with my black sneakers. Then I run down the steps and head towards the kitchen. Dad has already left for work by now. I grab a banana and a water and out the door I go. I walk to school as I only live about a mile away. It's good exercise. Plus it's spring time so the weather is perfect. When I arrive I make small talk with a couple of my friends and then head to my locker. I get out what I need and head towards class. By the time I get there, the bell rings. Okay, two minutes until Ms. Bailey, my math teacher, will come in. I feel my phone vibrate so I take it out and look at it. I smile when I see it's my brother wishing me a happy birthday. He also says he will see me at dinner, just let him know what time and when. I thank him and let him know we will talk later. I put my phone back away. All of a sudden, I feel like someone is watching me so I turn my head to the left to look out the window. I see the track where we going running for gym and the bleachers. Then off in the distance, between the trees, I swear I see the glimpse of eyes? I rub my own eyes and then look again but nothing. I nudge my classmate Dylan. "Do you see something out there? By the trees?" I point my finger towards the woodsy area. He briefly looks where I was pointing. "Geez Malia. I don't even know how you can see that far." He shakes his head. "Class let's get started." Says Ms. Bailey. And now the fun starts, yeah right!
