***Malia's POV***
I found myself in a field of flowers staring at the most majestic creature. At four years old, I was just shy of three feet tall. I was surronded in a bed of flowers; contrasting lilac and white petals. At that age I was innocent and curious, not knowing of the dangers of the world, let alone the one presented right in front of my eyes. My feet carried me closer to the creature. My curiosity had my eyes glued to the creature that presented itself right in front of me. Within a short amount of time, I found myself directly in front of it. It towered over me, at least three times my size but I did not know what fear was as I had never been in that position in my short life span thus far. This creature, that later I found out was a werewolf, intrigued me. It's fur was jet black, with deep black eyes to match. As the creature started to change it's position, I took a step back.
***Danarius' POV***
I shifted my weight so I could lower myself closer to ground. I needed to find out if this pull to this little girl, was what I assumed. She was small in stature with brunette, curly hair. As my abdomen touched the earthy ground, I was now eye to eye with her. Her eyes were a grayish blue that was translucent. It's almost as if I stared long enough into them, I could bear witness to her life.I know, deep s**t, right? As I momentarily got lost in her eyes, she extended her arm. She was going to try and touch me and I needed her to. The past few days have been grueling for me. Sleepless nights and agitation has had it's hold on me. I needed myself to settle down because I could not keep on going on like this. The people around me were suffering due to my own misery. Any other wolf would of done one of two things. First, they wouldn't of put themselves in this vulnerable situation, showing themselves to someone they knew nothing of. Second, they would of torn her apart, in precaution of our existence being exposed. Showing myself, was a risk I was willing to take. The reward could be immense or it could shatter me for the rest of my existence. Her hand was a mere six inches away from me and then it hit me. With the next breath I took, I could smell it. I could smell her. Her scent was that of cherry blossoms and vanilla. It filled my nostrils to the core. I could just feel my muscles relax breathing in her scent.. Then her touch hit me. It was like fireworks were going off; sparks soared through my body. It was just as I had suspected. This small child was my mate. What humans called a soulmate. I had looked for her for already 5 years; even before she had come into existence. I was overjoyed to have finally come in contact with her. Then my feelings of joy came to a halt with a blood curdling scream.
