I am Darling and I was Invincible. I was left in the vicinity where I had to find Christina alone. I went back inside.. up on my feet. I ran through the doors and hallways of the place. I couldn’t see anything clearly. It was dark and quiet. I peeped through the windows and crawled the floors thought I could find some secret passages in that place. I found some interesting things in one of the rooms I got into. The man indeed was a psycho and he never failed to collect some small stuff from his victims. I saw the hairpin of Shawwie on the table, Gwen’s favorite handbag, Coach Jim’s cap, my Dad’s face towel. But he had the most important thing. Uncle Tim’s gun. I got it now and I hope this gun could protect me from that insane man. I wonder why police had missed these details on their investigation. His connections were probably into it. I went doors to doors and couldn’t find my cousin. I was helpless again. Suddenly I heard music played from somewhere in there. It was my favorite song. The song that brought me to tears on a play while “Jessy” was performing on stage and the song that made me so afraid the last time I heard it on an mp3 player left outside our house. Nevertheless, it was still my soul’s song. That was my song of repentance from being so cruel to a renewed young lady. What a journey I had been through and I wasn’t finished yet. The song kept on playing and could be heard anywhere in that place. It seems like forever. I felt somebody else knew I was there and watching my every move. I thought about Gab. He might be there. I saw him. It was him running away from us leaving the door of that “theater” open where we found mom and Aunt Gracie. He might have helped us but I wasn’t sure. Why was he doing that? While the music was playing, I ran through every door and kept looking for Christina. Then I heard from afar a shout. I attentively listened to their conversations. The man was so angry. “AAAAA.. YOU IMBECILE!!! WHY DID YOU LET THEM GO AWAY?? AAAA!! YOU PRAY I WOULD FIND THEM BECAUSE IF NOT YOU’LL BE DEAD JUST LIKE THEM, JUST LIKE YOUR PARENTS! He screamed. I heard Rhea’s voice so afraid answering, “I’m sorry.. I’m sorry, they got away from the ropes..” Though I couldn’t see her I knew she was filled with fear. I felt pity on her. She suffered so much from this man. Then I heard the door banged. The music stopped. Silence filled the place. Then I saw that man went out of that room so irritated carrying his firearm with him. I hid myself trying not to be seen. I followed him slowly and silently. I hope he was heading to where he hid Christina. We made so many turns and we passed by so many doors and I almost couldn’t remember the way we went. I tiptoed every move I made so he wouldn’t notice me. Then he got something from the ceiling. It was a moveable stairs that led to another room. “What is this place?” I asked myself. There were lots of doors and gates and the hallways were like a maze. It was like in the movies. I couldn’t understand how and why it happened. It was like.. I just went out of the movie house alone and wondering. But I wasn’t in the movie. It was real. Every move could make or break me and I had to be careful. I stopped for a while trying to observe everything around. Then I began to feel my hands were shaking and my mind was spinning upside down. I suddenly felt the weakening of my body. I remember I hadn’t eaten since Rhea’s phony abduction at the resort. I was being told not to skip my meals. I sat on the floor and decided to take a rest. I was sweating all over but I was trying to console myself. I had to make it. I had to save Christina. I had to continue moving. But I wasn’t moving at all. I hallucinated.
I saw a man carrying me and I couldn’t move. I was just watching him putting me to a bed full of flowers and there was sweet perfume all over. I could smell the fragrance and I felt like I was already dead and in heaven surrounded by angels. I was having second thought on what has been happening but I love the moment when I saw happy people, singing and laughing as though celebrating. I saw beaches and trees, different landmarks and beautiful views all over .. right in front of me. I’d been to my favorite places that instant. Then I heard that song again. That time it was giving me peace of mind and a light heart. I felt so amazing. If it was all a dream, I didn’t want to wake up anymore. But a moment of happiness turned to fear. Silence again sealed the delightfulness I was embracing. I heard somebody shouted, “ENOUGH OF YOUR RUTHLESS WORKS! I NEED TO STOP YOU OR WE WILL BOTH BE DAMNED FOREVER.” Another voice answered, “IF YOU WOULD NO LONGER BE ON MY SIDE, I’D RATHER KILL YOU!” Then I saw the man that carried me to bed being STABBED AND SHOT by another man. I never saw their faces but they had familiar voices. I WAS SO TERRIFIED but still I couldn’t move. My eyes were blinking in fear trying to get up but I felt so numbed. THERE WAS CHAOS AND BLOOD just came from everywhere. I COULDN’T BREATHE and WAS GRASPING FOR AIR. Then I heard somebody said.. “Darling.. Darling wake up, you are rambling.” It was Rhea calling me. She was beside me on the floor. I was sweating all over. The delusion ended. I realized it was all in my mind. I was indeed hallucinating. But there was one thing that felt so real. THE VOICES I HEARD, THE STABBING AND SHOOTING! Familiar voices but couldn’t distinguish clearly.
I suddenly got up from the floor and surprised to see Rhea helping me. I got the gun and I pointed it to her. “Easy.. I brought you water and something to eat. Here.. eat it.” She said and handed over the food and water. Though I was hesitant and thought it could be another trap, I still got it and ate. I was starving. After I had eaten I turned to her and asked, “Why are you doing this?” She never answered. I held her hand and said “Thank you.” She awkwardly looked at me and responded, “Come..follow me.” “Why should I trust you?” I asked. “I’m the only one you got.” She answered. “He’s heading up there..” I told her while pointing to that movable stairs on the ceiling. “NO! There is a better way.. FOLLOW ME!” She said. There was nothing more I could do but follow. She knew the place more than I did. We were hurrying. No more time to be wasted. We went the opposite the man’s way and again it was long turns.. from side to side we went. The darkness filled my eyes and almost couldn’t see a thing. I couldn’t take away my mind of what was Rhea doing. Is she for real now? I was hoping that time she was for real. Whatever it was, I was already prepared if she did something suspicious. I was observing her every move. I asked, “What is this place? We saw the theater.. why was it built and abandoned?” I asked curiously. “So you saw the theater.. huh.. This place was made intentionally as training site, theater and recreational place all in one. This was funded by Uncle Jerry and other trusted friends for newbie ACTORS and aspirants like GAB supposedly to help them grow as a better performer. He used all his inheritance and savings from his work as seaman on this place. A former warehouse being improvised when he learned Gab was a very good performer. He gave everything for his boy to make up for lost times.” She shared. “But YOU MADE HIM STOP. Gab gave up his craft just for you and when he learned that his boy took his talent for granted, he was very disappointed. His disappointments became depression added to his unstable state of mind that has eaten his whole being. And the supposed to be a theater for high-spirited, visionaries, and even for children with exceptional talents became a place for losers and lost souls.” She continued. Yeah.. I was right from the start, it was me again. It was all because of me. I thought.. that was ANOTHER ONE of the results of my uncalled for behavior to Gab? What I did was indeed as huge as that edifice. I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE THEATER AND I DID NOTHING RIGHT BEFORE. And I WAS TRYING TO CHANGE THAT. “So why are you telling me this? Why are you helping me?” I asked her. “Maybe I am tired. Tired of fooling myself, tired of hurting myself and tired of conditioning myself to the lie I had been living. Maybe it’s time for me to recognize the truth that has been slapped to my face a long time ago. It’s time to wake up and to be free.” She answered. “So glad to hear that.” I replied embracing her. We reached the place where we could hear a cry from the next alley. There were so many hidden doors, hidden stairs and passages and I was already confused where to go next. “COME.. TAKE A LOOK!” she said as she guided me to the wall with a small hole on it. “Take a peep.” She added. I peeped and I was shocked by what I saw. Christina was there lying on the floor unconscious, tied up all over. There was a man sitting on a chair also tied up and blindfolded. He was facing opposite my direction. I couldn’t see his face but I could recognize his built. “DADDDDDDDDDD!!” I SCREAMED. Rhea immediately covered my mouth by her hand preventing me to make some noise as she pulled me away from that hole. “Ssshhhh.. Control yourself. He could hear you.” She whispered to my ear. I couldn’t stop it. Here we go again. HE GOT MY DAD AGAIN. I WAS STRUGGLING to break free from Rhea so I could enter that room where my Dad was. She was stopping me. I couldn’t do anything but cry on Rhea’s arms. I WANTED TO BREAK THE WALLS THAT DIVIDE TO SAVE MY DAD BUT she kept on pulling me away from that wall and not to create more sound so that the man won’t know we were there. I was trying to control my emotions. I had to organize myself so I could think better on what to do. BUT WHAT COULD I DO. I couldn’t think well enough especially if my Dad’s in danger. I was not myself. My body was shaking and I wanted to scream and blame myself again. That was a Dejavu.. replaying all over again. My mind couldn’t think enough. Dad was the “wind beneath my wings” as I usually said. Though that saying was overused already but that remained true to me. I couldn’t do anything right without my Dad. And now he’s in danger again, I might compromise his safety by doing unnecessary things. “Calm down now, sooner or later he will enter the room.” Rhea whispered. I had to follow Rhea if I wanted to save my Dad’s and my cousin’s lives. I had to be quiet. As we wait for Gab’s Dad.. yeah.. I accepted it now that he was Gab’s Dad. He was Mr. Jerry Davies.
I whispered through the hole, “Wait for me Dad, I am going to save you and Christina.” I thought Dad heard me. He turned his head halfway and made some movements. My heart was melting seeing his situation. Then we heard A LOUD BANG ON THE DOOR. IT WAS MR. DAVIES. HE WAS SO FURIOUS WHILE ENTERING. HE MADE SILLY ACTIONS AND WAS MURMURING. HE WAS WALKING TO AND FRO AND I COULD TELL HE WAS PLANNING OF SOMETHING MORE GRUESOME WORK. THEN I HEARD MY DAD BEGGING TO HIM. “PLEASE, PLEASE MISTER, WHOEVER YOU ARE, RELEASE US.. WE DON’T KNOW WHAT WE DID TO YOU WHY ARE YOU DOING ALL THESE THINGS BUT WE ARE SORRY.. WHATEVER IT IS WE ARE SORRY.. PLEASE I BEG YOU!” He replied. “NO! NO! IT’S NOT THAT EASY.. YOU ALL HAVE TO PAY FOR MY SON’S BROKEN LIFE.. SO YOU NOW SHUT UP AND LET ME THINK WHO TO KILL NEXT, WOULD IT BE YOU.. OR HER (referring to Christina lying unconsciously on the floor) ?” Mr. Davies irately said. I could hear Dad’s crying and begging to the man and I couldn’t do anything. Then Mr. Davies went outside and another loud bang of the door causes some vibrations on the wall. “He’s gone Rhe..” I told Rhea. Immediately Rhea tapped the wall with both hands. She was looking for something on the wall. She kept on tapping and tapping. “What are you doing?” I asked her curiously. She replied. “What I knew there is A SECRET door in here to that room and we have to find it before he’s back. You can lock and unlock it from here but not if you’re inside. I became excited and helped her find it. We kept on tapping the wall, listening to some unusual sound.. we may bump into it by our bare hands. At last Rhea felt something. She excitedly tapped faster and THERE.. A SECRET DOOR OPENED! WE HEARD SOMETHING CLICKED AND UNLOCKED. I COULDN’T BELIEVE BUT IT WAS HAPPENING. WE IMMEDIATELY RUSHED IN. I went to Dad and untied the ropes and took the blindfold away. Rhea went to Christina that was still unconscious. She untied her while she was beginning to regain her awareness. “DAD.. DAD.. It’s me, you have to move. We’re gonna get you out of here.” I said hurriedly. “Thank God you’re here.. he got your mother and aunt Gracie.” Dad cried. “I know.. but they are safe now and we gotta go.” I answered. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?” Christina asked Rhea groggily and in a harsh manner. “She helped me find you.” I told. “WE HAVE NO TIME, YOU HAVE TO HURRY.” Rhea yelled. We went to the door as fast as we could. Dad was first to make it out, then Christina. I was following her when the other door opened and It was Mr. Davies again. He saw Rhea and me getting out of the Secret Door. “YOU TRAITOR!!” Then he took his long firearm with him and began to shoot everywhere. Rhea was the last one that was supposed to get out but Mr. Davies caught her by his firearm. I WAS HOLDING RHEA’S HAND AND I SCREAMED, “RHEA!” SHE WAS SHOT BY MR. DAVIES, NOT JUST ONCE, TWICE BUT FOR SO MANY TIMES THAT FIREARM HIT HER. She fell on the ground but she had managed to get out of that room and locked the door from outside. We were safe in the meantime. I got her from the floor and I felt blood was flowing out from every part of her body. SHE WAS LYING IN MY ARMS. “GO.. DARLING.. I’LL BE OK.” She said in a very low tone voice. She was catching her breath... she could hardly speak now, but she tried. I was crying. “RHEA NO… PLEASE HOLD ON.. HOLD ON!” I BEGGED HER. “GO BEFORE HE CATCHES YOU.. HELP YOURSELVES.. I AM FREE NOW.” She whispered to me. "HE’S GONNA PAY RHEA.. I PROMISE YOU THAT!" I told her while wiping the tears flowing from her eyes. She took a deep breath.. then.. SHE WAS GONE! “RHEAAAAAAA..!!” I SCREAMED. SHE DIED IN MY ARMS! “Come Dear.. let’s hurry up. We can’t do anything for her now.” Dad said to me. Christina was pulling me to go. I was hesitant to leave Rhea there but we have to save our lives. I let her lay on the floor and kissed her cheek and said, “GOODBYE RHEA.. I WILL GIVE JUSTICE to YOUR DEATH !" I couldn't take my eyes off her lifeless body lying on the floor. My heart was in deep regret leaving her like that but I had no other choice. I Realized RHEA had never been a foe. SHE WAS A VERY GOOD FRIEND WHO JUST GOT LOST but FOUND HERSELF AGAIN. She PROVED THAT AND I WILL SURELY MISS HER.
As I went along with them I couldn’t control the emotions of losing again somebody else important. But we had to move no matter what. Anytime from that moment Mr. Davies would catch us. We ran as if running a race but Dad couldn’t go any faster now. His age was preventing him to do so. Christina and I would help him be on his feet and continue to run away from there. But I could tell Dad was so tired. “We have to look for somewhere to rest.” I said. “We could try opening the doors we are passing by and take some rest.” Christina added. We were pushing from one door to another and at last we found an open door and we came in. We made sure we locked it. It was dark but enough for us to stay for a while and took some needed rest. It was empty. We sat on the floor and gathered some strength to be able to run again after. “Dad.. you need to rest.. have some sleep. Christina and I are here to look after.” I told Dad. He was really tired. In just a wink of an eye he fell asleep. For a few moments we enjoyed peace that has been hard to find.
Then we heard a noise outside the room. We both sneaked a quick look and it brought us panic because it was Mr. Davies. He was coming our way and we were worried that he would find out where we were. Then we heard him saying, “COME OUT COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE.. YOU LITTLE RATS! I AM GONNA COME AND GET YOU!” He kept on knocking on every door by his firearm as he passed by and made some silly statements. We stayed away from the door. We hid on the darkest place of the room. Christina and I were so nervous. I immediately went to Dad crawling. I woke him up quietly and told him to be still because the man was outside looking for us. We were all very quiet waiting for that man to either unlock the door or shoot it with his weapon. I slowly went back up to my knees and stayed beside the door. I was preparing that whatever he would do I had a chance to take away his firearm from him if in case he could open the door. It could be a fist fight before he could touch us or I could shoot him first with the gun in my hand. But then, we heard a loud bang just from afar outside the door. I could hear the man murmuring his way to that loud sound and I knew someone had saved us again from almost being caught. After few minutes, we heard shouting and commotions from a distance. Suddenly the sound of that firearm being fired was again heard all over the place. We were so afraid. We just squatted on the floor, covered our ears and tried to cover ourselves. We could also be victims of stray bullets that were flying everywhere. There was a long silence after shots being fired. I FELT THE STRANGEST FEELING. MY HEART COULD SENSE THE GREAT FEAR. SOMETHING UNBEARABLE JUST HAPPENED. BUT I COULDN’T DETERMINE WHAT THAT WAS. I just whispered “GAB.” I DIDN’T KNOW BUT HE CAME TO MY MIND AFTER THOSE SHOUTINGS, AFTER THAT LOUD NOISE, AFTER THOSE SHOTS FIRED. AND MY HEART WAS BEATING SO FAST. I slowly opened the door with the gun in my hand trying to see if anybody was there.. but there was no one. I came to Dad and Christina and told them.. “We could move now.. Dad can you do it?” I asked Dad worrying about his condition. “Yeah.. let’s move..” He answered. As we got out from that room, I was looking on both sides of the hallway trying to make sure that Mr. Davies was not there. We were quietly moving as fast as we could. I was carrying Dad on my right hand and the gun on the other side, just in case Gab’s Dad showed up out of nowhere. We again passed through doors to doors and the hallways were always confusing. We tend to forget where to head. We couldn’t easily go through the exit way. We kept on making mistakes twice, thrice by passing through the same hallway. We happened to pass by a certain room where we heard someone was crying in there. “Who was that?” Christina asked. I was afraid that it might be mom again or Aunt Gracie or anybody in my family. I thought they were caught last time they tried to escape from here. I really wanted to help whoever was crying. I tried opening the door and lo.. it was open. We slowly got inside and we were looking for someone who has been crying. It was a cry of a lady. And I was surprised to see a familiar face. In the dark side of the room, there sitting on a rocking chair, the old woman with Alzheimer’s disease. “You know her Darling?” Dad asked. “Yes Dad! She was the one that Daniel and I were talking about.” I answered. “Oh my God.. she’s the old lady with Alzheimer’s.” Christina cried. She wasn’t tied up. She was intimately crying and I felt pity on her. I’d been following her just to ask some questions about the killings because I really suspected that she knew something. And there she was.. trying to confuse me again. I was pretty sure she was indeed Gab’s mom and I didn’t understood what she was doing in there. I whispered to her ear “Madam.. why are you crying? Why are you here? Is Mr. Davies your husband? Where’s Gab?” I asked a lot of questions and I had to know the answers straight from her mouth. She stopped rocking the chair, turned to me and stared for a little while but no reactions would be seen on her face. She might not even know what was happening. “Do you want to come with us away from this place?” I asked her. “Madam.. come with us.. Is that killer your husband? You should go far away from him.” Christina added. “Come Madam come..he might be back anytime soon.” I yelled. But the old lady never responded to whatever convincing we were doing. She continued rocking the chair and wept. We should leave. We can’t convince her. It’s dangerous for us to stay longer. We could do nothing for her. But I could feel something was wrong. She may be so disappointed of what happened to her family and she lost it due to Dementia. Later on, Alzheimer’s added to her misery. I couldn’t imagine how she suffered from those without any loved one by her side. We wanted to leave her in a hurry.
We were about on our way out of that room when we heard the man shouting from afar. “I TOLD YOU, ONE MORE DEFIANCE, I WILL KILL YOU!! YOU ARE NO LONGER ON MY SIDE, THEN IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO DIE!!” HE WAS OUTRAGEOUS and there was nothing we could do but to go back inside with that old woman. IT WAS A FAMILIAR STATEMENT AND I WAS SO AFRAID. We stopped making any movement from that room and locked the door. We tried to be very quiet. “HE KNOWS WHERE I AM AND HE WILL SEE YOU HERE. YOU SHOULD PREPARE YOURSELVES, HE WILL ALSO KILL YOU. NO ONE CAN SAVE YOU NOW!!” The old woman said surprisingly. We were TERRIFIED. IT WAS LATE! He was already there. He was trying to open the door. WITH A BIG BANG the door broke and opened. I told Dad and Christina. “GET ON MY BACK!!!” I IMMEDIATELY POINTED THE GUN TO THE OLD LADY’S HEAD WHILE WE WERE ALL MAKING HER AS A SHIELD. HE SAW ME AND HE WAS SURPRISED. I told him, “TRY SHOOTING US AND YOUR WIFE’S GONNA BE DEAD TOO!!” I was so afraid but I have to do whatever it takes to save us all in there. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING STUPID RAT?” He was pointing his firearm to us. Anytime he could kill us all. “Do you really think I couldn’t KILL YOU WHILE HIDING UNDER THE SHIELD OF A WOMAN AND A ROCKING CHAIR!!?” He taunted. “NO!! YOU ARE STUPID, IF YOU TRY TO SHOOT, YOUR WIFE’S GONNA DIE WITH US, SO YOU BETTER THROW AWAY THAT FIREARM AND SET US ALL FREE!!? I told him eagerly. While he was trying to come near us, we were also making a step away. The gun never left that old woman’s head. “Stand up, Madam, help us here!” I whispered to her. She stood up and stayed in front of us while I was still pointing the gun to her head. LITTLE MOVEMENTS WOULD SIMPLY MADE US VISIBLE TO HIM. We were making his wife a human shield to be alive. I could feel her protecting us that moment. She was doing what I was asking her to do. “TAKE THAT GUN OFF HER HEAD!! YOU LITTLE RATS, I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!” HE CRIED. “NO!” I YELLED. “YOU THROW AWAY YOUR FIREARM AND LET US ALL GO!” I ADDED. HIS WIFE BECAME OUR HOSTAGE.WHILE WE WERE ALL WALKING THROUGH THE DOOR GETTING OUT OF THAT ROOM. He was following by holding his firearm BUT already in doubt if he would point it to us or let us all go. THAT WAS NOW CLEAR TO ME THAT HIS WEAKNESS WAS HIS WIFE. We all made it out of that room and as if we were playing a tug of war in the hallway. “RELEASE HER OR I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU!” HE SCREAMED. “YOU WISH!” Christina answered. The hallway was becoming darker as we go along. I forgot about it. We could be trapped in the dark. The old lady was so quiet while I was still pointing the gun to her head. She never made any unusual movements. She was going with the flow. In my mind, she was really helping us. Mr. Davies was following us. He was becoming furious and furious as we go along. He could kill us all in the dark. Then the light switched on everywhere in the place. “WHAT THE… EVERYONE IS GIVING ME A HEADACHE. EVERYTHING IS USELESS” HE CRIED. “AREN’T YOU HAPPY WE COULD SEE EACH OTHER SO WELL?” I TEASED. I WAS STILL MAKING HIS WIFE A HOSTAGE AND HE WAS STILL TRYING TO GET TO US. As we were heading towards the main door exit, I could feel he was willing to fire his weapon at us. No matter what the cost. You wouldn’t really know what was inside his mind. He was just waiting for the right timing… We were already outside of the building and the GATE EXIT WAS FEW METERS away from us. AND HE WAS ON OUR TAIL.
“I THINK WE GOT TO RUN!” Christina suggested. WE DECIDED TO RUN NOW. “DAD YOU HAVE TO RUN!” I TOLD DAD AS I WAS PUSHING HIM AWAY FROM ME. “CHRISTINA RUN WITH DAD AS FAST AS YOU CAN.. GO GO!” I TOLD CHRISTINA. “WHAT ABOUT YOU DARLING? YOU HAVE TO COME WITH US!” DAD EXCLAIMED CATCHING HIS BREATH. “NO DAD.. I HAVE TO FINISH THIS. SOONER OR LATER HE WOULD STILL BE HAUNTING ME ANYWAY.. I’D RATHER FACE HIM NOW OR THIS CHANCE WILL NEVER COME AGAIN!” I SAID. “BE SAFE DEAR.. PLEASE BE SAFE!! DAD BEGGED AS HE KISSED ME ON THE CHEEK. Dad had to agree with me. I knew that he himself was already tired of all the turmoil that kept on bothering us. Dad kissed and hugged me so tight before he went with Christina. “COME UNCLE THEODORE WE HAVE TO HURRY!” CHRISTINA CRIED. “GO DAD GOOOO!!! I SCREAMED. The man saw them running and I CALLED HIS ATTENTION. “HEY MADMAN YOU WANT ME.. RIGHT? COME AND GET ME!” I COULDN’T STOP HIM NOW. HE WAS TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL. HE FIRED HIS WEAPON IN AN INSTANT WHEN HE SAW THEM RUNNING. I WAS TRYING TO BLOCK HIS VIEW SO HE COULDN’T SHOOT THE TARGET. MY DAD AND CHRISTINA! BUT HE WAS SHOOTING EVERYWHERE NOW. I WAS STILL BEHIND HIS WIFE WHEN SUDDENLY.. HE GOT HER BY HIS INDISCRIMINATE FIRING. I COULDN’T HOLD THE OLD LADY LONGER. SHE WAS DOWN ON THE GROUND. SHE WAS BEING SHOT IN THE HEAD. I WAS SO AFRAID. I HAD TO RUN AWAY FROM HER. I HAD TO LOOK FOR SHIELD TO PROTECT MYSELF FROM HIM. THEN I HEARD CHRISTINA SCREAMING “UNCLE THEODORE!”. I COULD STILL SEE THEM FROM AFAR. MY DAD WAS ALSO HIT BY HIS BULLETS. BUT THEY STILL MANAGED TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE EXIT GATE. MR. DAVIES WAS AFTER THEM BUT I FIRED MY GUN AT HIM AND GOT HIM IN THE LEG. MR. DAVIES DIDN’T EVEN LOOK HURT. HE JUST SHRUGGED IT OFF. I THOUGHT.. HE WAS TOUGH AS HE COULD BE. BUT HE DECIDED TO HIDE FROM THE TREES OF THE VICINITY. I JUST HOPE DAD WAS NOT HEAVILY HURT. I HOPE HE WOULD BE OKAY. I WAS ALSO HIDING MYSELF ON EMPTY BIG CANS. I shouted to the man, “STOP NOW MR. DAVIES OR YOU’LL END UP DEAD JUST LIKE YOUR WIFE. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR FAMILY?” IT WAS YOU TO BE BLAMED FOR EVERYTHING!!” He answered. “NOOOO..! YOU KILLED MY WIFE AND EVERYONE ELSE! I MUST SENTENCE YOU TO DEATH JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.” He screamed to me. I could see him from afar. He was being so uneasy that moment. Everytime there was turmoil; his adrenaline rush came as he was getting out of control. He kept murmuring and talking to himself. I kept on thinking about Dad. There were so many “what ifs” in my mind that I couldn’t get away. As long as I didn’t see Dad alive and well, I wouldn’t be at peace. I cried behind that cans that were shielding me. But I told myself to finish what I had started. It hurts so much knowing Dad was shot and I didn’t even know if he was okay or not. I wasn’t even there to comfort him or bring him to the hospital. I just hoped help was waiting for them outside that place and my heart was too heavy to face reality in case my nightmares would happen again. Sometimes I would ask myself “Was I that Invincible?” My friend Shawwie was murdered, I was so troubled. My Coach that has been a father to me was killed, I was confused. Another friend Gwen was slain, I wanted revenge. My Dad was almost killed, I was losing my mind and My Uncle Tim was slaughtered and I was completely devastated. Just this moment, Rhea was shot and I promised her justice. But inspite of it all I remained alive and still fighting. Now that my Dad’s in trouble again, I was having doubts if I could make another day. Nightmares never stopped. Though I thought I was invincible, my invincibility was beginning to falter.
