I was shaking with fear.
Bree and I were on the edge at this very moment, about to lose this new life that she and I loved so much, all because this alpha might find out the truth and kick us both out for it.
I had laid down strict rules for Bree, foolishly trying to make sure he couldn't find out about us that way. I asked my sister to let me do the talking, that I would be the one to explain everything, and that she was only allowed to say things if asked directly.
I had a plan that I had started thinking about all the way to the alpha's mansion, if I said that Bree and I came from the same pack, surely no one would ask questions.
