Estela [POV] "Estela!" His voice sliced through the quiet like a blade, wrapping around my name and sending a cold shiver down my spine. My knees nearly buckled, but I forced myself to keep walking. At first, I told myself I imagined it. But the thick silence that followed told me otherwise. I froze mid-step, keeping my back to him. "Who’s Estela?" I asked, trying to sound detached. "You’re really going to keep playing this game?" he growled, his voice laced with disbelief and rising fury. "I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about," I said coolly, planting my feet and tightening every muscle in my body to keep still. "You expect me to believe you don’t remember last night?"
