I was watching the six-o-clock news. That was approximately 2011 or 2012. Forgot the date but I remembered the exact moment when it happened. How else would I forget it? I was eating dinner with my family when that particular news flashed on TV. It was about an illegal drag racing activity along Macapagal and it had become the START. Since I am from the land of Mindanao, what better place to represent my beloved MINDANAO than SIARGAO, so it culminates my journey in writing. Hence, WAVES OF LOVE was born.

Funny how I started making this story. Nabuo ito kada alas kwatro hanggang alas singko ng hapon, habang naghihintay ng uwian sa trabaho. Gamit ko lang ay lumang notebook at ang mahal na mahal kong Faber Castel. Hahaha. Came weekends, babad ako sa isang internet shop sa amin, ALCO, to be specific. Katabi ko pa non ang maingay na naging kakilala ko na rin na kausap ang dyowa niya na taga-US. She would ask me, "anong ginagawa mo? Bakit ang haba ng tina-type mo?" Sagot ko naman lagi, "work-related." Kung kailan ko halos matapos na ang kwento, saka naman ako nakabili ng laptop. Ang saklap.

Kaya, this book is really my baby and I would cherish this story for as long as I live.

I hope you would enjoy reading the story of Lester and Clarissa. The name Lester, I got it from one of my college mates and it was the name of HM's character in one of her npvels. Clarissa, on the other hand, is one of my favorite names. Kaya, my characters were named as such.
