“What’s the problem?” Marrow asked.
“It’s Asher. He’s the one calling right now; what do I get to tell him now? I’m not at home; I have no idea if he’s at home.”
I was so scared of the whole thing and resolved to stand on my feet now. I wondered why Marrow never showcased any signs of fear at all like he was that ally crew from the whole thing. The Alpha would have called on his right-hand man when he finally came back, but Marrow never received any call, and that got me wondering.
“Marrow, I think he’s back and wants to see me; it seems he’s looking for me at home.”
“You panic so much, Ivy. Relax; I don’t think he’s at home now; I think maybe he’s still out and wants to hear from you; I’ll suggest you take the call when he calls again because he definitely will.”
