Chapter 68

1140 Words

Mira’s POV **PRESENT DAY** “…That was how I managed to escape from the hands of this evil bitch.” “Take it easy, Lexa, she’s turned a new leaf. I told you about that earlier on, and you promised me to take things easy.” Elfa tried persuading her on my behalf but it seems she was head over me now. I never wanted her to see the tears in my eyes but she did. That was one of the strangest things that can happen to me, dropping to tears when scolded by someone else, no matter their age or status. “You’re lucky you’re my relative Elfa; I wouldn’t have listened to you or, perhaps, would have used you to trail her and have her kill me on the spot; people like this don’t deserve to live,” Lexa said angrily as she walked to the other side of the room and had a glass of wine from the drawer.
