I was so shocked she was behind me. It took me a great deal to talk her out of that. She was so curious at first, but after hearing it was my ex-boyfriend's sister from college, she calmed down, and I knew what it meant for her to leave me with nothing being said; it meant she had something in mind and maybe suspected me. We both sat quietly in the vehicle, taking us to the entrance of Pentos, where we both went to see an assassin whom she trusted we could hire for our job.
“Elfa, are you all right?” I asked, turning to her as she looked out of the other side of the window.
“Of course I am, why do you ask?”
“Because you’ve been mute all along in the vehicle, is anything bothering you at all?”
“Nope, not at all, I’m fine and perfect, just as always.”
