It wasn’t so surprising that the news had gotten to the ears of Mira’s dad, Alpha Dane, and in no time, I was standing right in front of him while the rest of the members of the council watched from their viewpoint. What amazed me the most here was that Mira, who pretended to be still, lay almost helpless and unconscious at the Citadels clinic while her friend Elfa was right there at the royal court, same as Christin and Savior, his second.
