Aurora’s Pov "Please stay," I told Ryan. The words left my mouth before I could stop them. My voice was soft, almost pleading, but I didn’t care how it sounded. The thought of being alone at this moment made my chest tighten. He didn’t hesitate. Without a word, he moved to the bed and sat down, his gaze steady and comforting. His smile was warm, and reassuring, and it did something to the knot of fear twisting inside me. I returned his smile, even though mine felt shaky. Gathering my clothes, I slipped into the bathroom. As I closed the door behind me, I could still feel his eyes on my back, like a gentle weight I didn’t mind carrying.
