I was still shocked by what I had heard.

Curiosity got the best of me. I knew I wasn’t in the best condition to be sneaking around, but I had to know. Slowly, I pushed myself up. My muscles screamed in protest, but I gritted my teeth. The pain was still there, just not as bad as before, thanks to Ryan.
