CHAPTER TEN Mav stood over the dead stairwell mercenary, having confiscated his walkie-talkie. He took precaution as he climbed the stairs. He wasn’t quite sure which floor Marais and company were on. The only thing he knew was that they had gone to one of the higher levels upon leaving the ballroom earlier in the evening. Hopefully, they were following his escape route. The last thing Mav wanted to do was hunt them all over this collapsing edifice.
