AMARA'S POV
The final bell went off signalling the end of classes. I took the train home, and slipped into the bathroom, the minute I stepped into the room.
My entire body felt stiff, like I was going to lose my mind any minute from now. ‘Odessa are you there?’ I tried to mindlink her, but it was the same thing I got, over and over again.
Silence.
Apprehension coiled through my entire system. This was unlike her. Odessa was the kind of wolf that loved to stay in touch with her human, and at the surface, she was that active, brawny and hell! Spontaneous, but today…today felt so strange.
