DIFFERENT BALLGAME

1089 Words

RYLAN'S POV I skulked from the car straight to my private study, and locked myself in. I didn't want to speak to anyone, especially after Amara turned me down outrightly. She wouldn't be my date to the annual Christmas ball? Pfft. You've gotta be kidding me. I was doing a good job, riling in thorns of rejection. My wolf on the other hand was so aggravated to say the least, he wouldn't stop clawing my insides to reach for the surface. ‘Dummy. Are you just gonna let her go just like that?’ he let out a snarly growl. My shoulders stiffened, suppressing his energy. “We can't force her to go against her will.” He hissed. Tension, mixed with a deadly amount of desire ripped through my chest, cutting off my supply of oxygen. I grunted, but couldn't make out anything of the situation.
