Sheila awoke the next morning feeling nauseous. She thought it was probably just a flu bug and should be gone within 24 hours. Thomas was nowhere to be found. Sheila decided it was a good idea to go look for him. She used some of Thomas's glamour potion and transformed herself into a young maiden.
She took a horse into town and went from shop to shop looking for Thomas. She got to the diner and fortunately no one recognized her. She ordered some lunch and ate while she watched out the window for Thomas. She finished up after being there for a hour and a half; then proceeded to the local pub. She ordered a drink and found a table in the corner of the pub.
She sat quietly, sipping on her drink. She watched as one man after another came in and drank, then left. She stayed until dusk, then decided Thomas obviously wasn't coming there and left. Just as she was getting on her horse; she saw Thomas coming down the road on his horse. She hid her horse in the stables nearby and hid behind the stable door.
She watched as Thomas walked into the pub and waited in her hiding spot. A few hours went by and Thomas came out with the local banker. The banker was stumbling and Thomas had a arm around him, trying to hold him up. She watched as Thomas helped the banker into his carriage; and then follow in after him. She wondered why Thomas got in with him; they hardly knew each other, so it didn't make sense to her.
She followed them as they rode away from the pub and towards the cemetery. She thought that was curious. The Banker lived on the other side of town, so there really was no reason to be going the opposite direction. They got to the front gate of the cemetery and she saw Thomas come out of the carriage. He hauled what looked like a body out after him; then he walked to the gate.
He dropped the body and pushed the gate open. Sheila saw the body start to stir and then she saw Thomas swing around and hit the body. The body laid motionless once again. Thomas picked up the body and went inside of the cemetery; leaving the gate open behind him. Sheila ran in after him; she wanted to see what he was up to.
She ran for what felt like hours and then she found Thomas. He was at the far back of the cemetery and he was digging a hole. She saw the body laying next to the hole; she moved a little closer to see who it was. She got just close enough to flip the sheet back and saw the banker. He cried to her to help him; she quickly untied the sheet and freed him, then told him to run.
The banker ran away and Sheila decided to follow after him. She didn't want Thomas knowing she was following him. She finally got back to her horse and right as she was about to take off; she heard Thomas screaming. She knew it was a angry scream and she took off as fast as she could. She managed to get back to the cabin a hour before Thomas; which gave her plenty of time to get ready for bed.
Thomas came home and Sheila was waiting in front of the fireplace for him. She closed her eyes when she heard him come in behind her. Thomas came up behind her, leaned over her and kissed her forehead. She opened her eyes and took his face in her hands and returned a kiss to his lips. Thomas picked her up and carried her to their room he had built for them.
The night went by gloriously and Sheila slept the heaviest she had ever slept. Thomas was chopping wood for the fire to cook when she finally woke up. Thomas was planning on making dinner for them that night. Sheila checked on her flowers in her garden while Thomas cooked dinner. After dinner, Thomas told her he would return later that night; he had some debts to collect, he had told her.
Sheila decided to stay behind that night, she was having those nausea feelings again. Every time she moved, it felt like she was going to throw up. She wasn't sure what was wrong with her. Thomas never said anything about nausea while you're transforming; so she knew it couldn't have been that. Thomas came home rather late that night; Sheila could've sworn she smelled a mix of blood and whiskey.
Sheila decided to tell Thomas she wanted to see a doctor. The following morning, Thomas was glowing like he had a huge feast the night before. She talked to Thomas about seeing a doctor. Thomas suggested they get a witch doctor due to they were werewolves. Sheila reluctantly agreed; she still preferred a human doctor, but Thomas was right.
Thomas left that morning and came back with a older man, dressed in a ceremonial robe, that afternoon. The man was the witch doctor Thomas had mentioned to her earlier that morning.
He took her to her bedroom and gave her a examination. After twenty minutes, he came back in the room and told her to expect a litter of puppies on the way. Sheila couldn't believe it; she was going to have another child at the ripe old age of 40.
Thomas was thrilled. Having children with Sheila was literally a dream of his. He didn't think it could happen, but nature thought otherwise. Sheila didn't seem to excited, but he thought that was probably because of her feeling sick. Although, this definitely was going to rush his plans, he thought to himself.
Sheila was just as thrilled about having children again, but due to the nausea she was going through; it was difficult to show her happiness. She could see the worry in Thomas's face; and that did worry her a bit. Maybe not so worried about him being worried; she was concerned about what he was planning in his mind. She knew he was thinking hard about something; she just wasn't sure what it was. Sheila decided she would rather bask in their new found happiness instead.
Sheila realized dusk was approaching. She got up and began building a fire in the fireplace. Thomas stopped her, gave her a cup of tea and made her sit down. She sat watching him in reverence for him. He was her true knight in shining armor, so to speak.
Thomas was always kind and gentle towards her. She never had a reason to fear him. Yet, she still wondered why he was trying to bury that man alive the night before. She thought being she's pregnant now, maybe that would stir him away from whatever it was he was doing lately. She certainly hoped it would.
Sheila and Thomas realized this wouldn't be a normal human pregnancy. They both had been transformed and there was not much human genes left. According to the witch doctor, Sheila was pregnant with at least five pups. He also said that it would be painful, but he did have a potion that would help with that. As long as it was okay for the pups; that's all Sheila cared about.
He assured her there would be no issues with that. For now, she was only to make sure she ate alot of protein and vegetables. He also instructed her to get lots of rest. Sheila had no issues with getting rest. She had been feeling exhausted lately, so she decided whatever Thomas was doing would not be her concern anymore.
Little did Sheila know, Thomas was continuing with his plans. Although he was doing it in a way she had no clue what he was doing. As long as she was happy and comfortable; that's all she needed.
