End Of The Day

We pass in our form and get to figuring out a schedule. Ben’s is so busy with sports I don’t know how he even has a life.. I’m boring and like my quiet time but now we have this enormous project on our plate. I’m trying to remain hopeful so Ben doesn’t think I’m stressing out just as much as him but I’m super nervous. It’s a lot of responsibility. We compromise on a schedule for now and if anything changes we’d let each other know so we exchanged phone numbers. He also suggested that we get together after school today to do some work. I told him that is fine since we have gotten quite a few packets from Mr. Young for the start of this project. The bell finally rings and the class starts to gathering their things. The teacher tells us not to let your baby cry for too long because it’ll notify the battery and turn off not responding causing a flunking grade. We all groan and start leaving. “Where you of to now?” I ask Ben while putting my stuff in my bag. “I got gym with Asher. What do you have? Do you want me to take Hunter?” He asks me with a smile. “What a small world I have gym with you guys. This will be great. Matty and the guys also have it. I can carry Hunter there.” I say as I pick up the doll and head out of the class. Asher is standing by the lockers waiting for me. “Hey Asp, why you guys have babies?” He asks eyeing the doll suspiciously. “Well brother this is our son Hunter for half the semester.” I say pointing between Ben and myself. “Oh really now.” He says now eyeing Ben.. I laugh. “Calm down Ash it’ll happen to you to when you have health lunch block. Mr. Young said it’s half our grade so I’m taking this sh.it seriously.” I say and he nods. “Alright. I understand. Just don’t push it Benny.” He says to him and Ben throws his hands up to surrender. “I won’t I’m just going to be the best dad to our son.” He smirks at Asher and I am almost positive steam is coming out of his ears. “Can you guys cut it out and let’s go.” I roll my eyes walking away. We get over to the gym and it’s huge. They actually call it a field house because it’s twice as big as a regular schools gym. I look around and see the locker rooms on one side and a gym on the other. Wow everything here is fancy and advanced. I see Matty and the guys so I let Asher and Ben know I’m gonna go over and show them Hunter.

BENJAMIN’S POV

Aspen walks away from us and Asher looks at me. “What’s that about?” Pointing to Matty as we see them talking and Aspen’s smiling. I can’t help but feel jealous. “I’m not sure bro. He did walk her back to class after lunch though. I would keep an eye on him.” I say in hopes he tells Matty to back off. I know what that dudes trying to do.. I can see him flirting with her any chance he gets. I don’t even know why he broke up with Erica. She’s a fu.cking smoke show. Aspen is still better looking but I hear Erica is so easy and a freak in the sheets.. We hear a whistle blow and Aspens walking back over to us. “Gather around” Coach says. “For those of you that don’t know me I’m Mr. Riggins but please just call me coach. That’s literally all I respond to. If I can have everyone go change for class I’d like to begin.” We all start heading over to the locker rooms.

ASPEN’S POV

Matty is so funny. I like talking with him and his friends. They told me some of their experiences with the dolls and let’s just say now I’m terrified.. I walk into the girls locker room and find an empty stall to change before putting my bag in an empty locker. Most of the girls are out in the open changing but I’m just not that comfortable with them or my own body to be doing that.. I do see Kimi and Violet as I am heading back out the door. “Aspen! Yay I was hoping you’d be in more of my classes.” Kimi says hugging me. “Oh thank god you guys are in here. I thought I’d get stuck with a few of the boys I know in this class.” We all laugh and Kimi asks me who. “Well Asher for one, Ben, Matty and his two buddies Jaden and Marco. I would have been out numbered.” I say laughing. “Not to mention you wouldn’t have anyone to gossip with about their looks with babes.” Violet says with a wink and us three laugh. We walk out of the locker rooms to see everyone starting to line up where coach is. “Why doesn’t everyone start off by walking some laps. We will take it easy for today.” He says and goes to sit down at the bleachers. I bring the girls over with me to Asher and the guys and we all start walking around. “You took a long time.” He says to me and I laugh. “Yeah well I was talking to my friends. This is Kimberly Cole and Violet Simmons. Girls this is my handsome and charming twin Asher but I’m afraid he is taken.” Giving him a side hug and making him blush. He lightly pushes me off. “Yeah about that. I’m no longer taken. We can talk about it later. Nice to meet you girls. I think we have Spanish together Kimberly?” He says looking at her and I can see she’s trying to not crumble. “Call me Kimi and yes we do. Your really good at it.” She says giving him a wink and Violet laughs. “So why do some of you guys have baby dolls?” Violet asks me and I let her know about health class. She is says she can’t wait. She wants to have many kids when she’s older so she’s excited for this project. I introduce the girls to the Sophomore guys and I know their in love. I hear a few different babies crying while we are walking around the track and coach lets us who have them check on them since it is school related. I walk over to Hunter and I check his diaper to see if it’s dry and it is so I grab the bottle out of the supplies we all got for our babies and “feed” him until he stops crying. I decide to carry it over with me back to the track. Most of our time will be consumed by this and I’m already stressing out.. “How’s mommy duties? Do you need a daddy to play house?” Marco asks me and most of us laugh besides Ash, Matty and Ben. “Actually I’m the daddy.” Ben says walking next to Asher. “Good thing it’s a fake doll.” Asher says and I see Matty smirk turning his head the other way. We spent the rest of the class doing what we wanted so basically walking around talking and laughing. This is a good group we’ve made so far. I’m so thankful for Asher being apart of it too. I hope Sage’s day has been a good one too. The bell rings and we are all free to go. Asher and I say bye to everyone after changing back and head to my locker so I can grab my coat. Ben let’s me know he will text me about Hunter in a bit because he has something to do first and I let him know that’s fine. “Got a lot of eyes on you already Asp. What have you been doing all day? Cat calling?” Asher asks me. “I haven’t done anything. I’m trying to be more outgoing here. Can’t you just let me live this once? I finally have friends and it’s only the first day of school. Don’t try to hide me from the world Asher.” I give him a pointed look. “I’m sorry I just don’t want you to be hurt or used by some guy because he thinks your hot. Your my sister and I will protect you until the end.” He says as we get to my locker. I open it and grab my stuff before turning to him. “Ash how long are you going to play that card? Stop trying to be my dad and just be my brother. Protecting and locking away are two separate things. Just be in my court. I will let you know if anything happens. You know that.. Now stop avoiding it and tell me what happened with Ana.” I say to him and we walk to the bus. He tells me what happened and I feel bad. I know he’s hurting and will bottle it up. Luckily Danny sees us and we all get on the bus. Matty is already on the bus. He taps next to him as he sees me approach and I turn back to see Ash’s face. He nods and Matty gets up so I can sit next to the window. I see Carter get on and there’s some chick with him. He looks at me then to Matty and walks right by us. “Is he still bothering you?” Matty asked me and I shook my head no. “Haven’t seen him all day.” I say looking in his eyes. “Good. Did you have a good first day?” He asks looking down at me. “Yeah it actually went better than I expected it would. Aside from this project it’s been a good day.” I say as the doll starts to whine so I check it’s diaper and that’s good. I try to feed it with the fake bottle but that wasn’t it and now I’m starting to feel overwhelmed. Matty must’ve noticed because he tells me to give him Hunter. I hand him the doll and he rocks it. The doll starts to yawn and close its creepy eyes. I’m stunned. He’s a baby whisperer to? Oh lord.. “Wow your pretty amazing at that. Thank you for the help I was starting to lose it.” I say to him and he laughs. “Well I did this project last year remember? Plus the one trick I know about these dolls is they will whine for no reason and mostly because the heath teacher sets it to do that. You just rock it a few times and the doll will go to sleep.” He says handing baby Hunter back to me. “Is that thing going to keep me up tonight?” Asher says from the seat next to us and I laugh telling him maybe but to wait for his lunch block tomorrow to get his very own. He rolls his eyes. We get to Matty and Danny’s stop but Ash asks if they wanna come chill for a bit and help us clean up our terrace. They both agree and we talk a bit more finally getting to our bus stop. The four of us get off the bus and start walking up our little hill. We get home and Sage is sitting one the couch playing video games. Her and Asher love to play them. Sometimes together but most of the time against each other. She looks over to us and her mouth drops seeing these two high school boys.. we all laugh at her reaction. It’s not just me that’s affected yay. I think to myself. “Hey Sage meet our friends Danny and Matty Parker. They live a few streets over. How was your day kiddo?” Asher asks her and she smiles bright. “It was freaking great. Teachers eating out the palm of my hand and the people aren’t to bad. Made some friends and they wanted to go to the mall but I wanted to come home and play the new release for COD so I told them there’s plenty of time to hangout.” She laughs resuming her game. “Only you kid. So is everyone hungry? I’ll order some pizza.” Ash says walking into the kitchen and we follow. “Yes! Extra pepperoni!” Sage yells from the living room.
