Harrison tried not to laugh at Willow trying to wink. It looked as if she was trying to be slick, but the act was all so over the top. “That kid is so dramatic, it’s hysterical. Pretty sure Sam wants her to be a hockey player, but I say she’s going to be an actress.” Harrison pulled Talia closer into his chest, wrapping her up in his arms.
He was so glad he’d decided to come over here. Talia’s shampoo scent filled his nose, and his heart dropped at his earlier deliberation about not spending tonight with her. He swallowed hard. “Happy Valentine’s day, Tal.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck and looked into his eyes. “I’m really glad you came over.”
“Me too.” Why did I ever second guess spending Valentine’s Day with her?
