Chapter 1-The Showdown

1018 Words
Kamila's POV  Yeah, but it is my day to train, and I did not agree to switch. I yell at her and start to make a scene.  At this point, I’m over it; usually, I would be excited to get out of training, but today I just want to annoy her like she is annoying me. I did not read that stupid sticky note, but I do not want to tell her that; plus, she did not even ask to wear my workout pants. We are now full-on arguing, screaming, and staring to get in each other’s faces. We usually do not argue in front of other pack members or anyone except for our parents. As the daughters of the alpha, you are always representing the family. Somehow we both manage to forget this rule today. It is about to be a showdown. Our friend Kylie walks over and tries to talk us down, get in between us, but it is just not happening today.  Before I know it, I got too close and took a left hook right in the face, but I recover quickly and throw a kick to the stomach. When I landed it, it made me want to toot my own horn, but that was premature because before I knew it, she came barreling at me. Claudette grabbed me by the neck, threw me on the mat, got on top of me, and punched my face a bunch of times. Before she was aggressively pulled off of me, I hit her one last time in the face. Oh god, oh no, why, I freeze when I see who it is to break up our fight.  Claudette’s POV I stop the car abruptly and as close as I can get to the garage wall. I see Kamila’s face, and I just know she will whine, but I’m so tired of dealing with her today. As I get out of the car, I hear her, “Real funny Claudette, I guess I’ll just have to” … I slammed the car door shut before she could even finish her sentence.  Today I am supposed to be on packhouse duty, but I cannot stand to clean or cook today. I just need to train and work out so I can blow off some steam. I hurry and change, write her a note and make sure to stick it somewhere that she can’t miss it. Usually, I would have asked Kamila, but I knew she would not care because she is always excited or begs to switch with me. I hear her storming up the stairs, so I jump out the bedroom window and land perfectly on my feet, so I take off running to the pack gym. Once I get to the gym, I notice that I accidentally grab her workout pants, but I’m not going back to change. I just need to make sure that I am extra careful because these workout pants are like her favorite pair. “Claudette, what are you doing here? Is it not Kamila’s day to train?” the pack trainer asks. I just think to myself, can everyone just leave me alone today. UGHHH… But instead of saying what I’m thinking, I just smile sweetly and say that we switched. As we start to warm up, I see Kamila walking in like, what the hell is she doing here? How did she not see the note I left her? I stop what I am doing and walk over to her to ask her what she is doing here and ask her if she did not get my note I left on the mirror. Kamila starts to scream at me and starts to make a huge scene. Oh my gosh, I can not believe she is yelling at me right now. I have switched with her so many times and have not asked her to switch with me in months. I have not asked her to switch with me in months because I have stayed up late to train after doing my packhouse work.  However, today I felt like if I had to wait, I would rip someone’s head off, and if Kamila keeps this up, it will be her. As we are now in each other’s faces, it is getting harder and harder for me not to lay her out. Our friend Kylie walks over and tries to talk us down, get in between us, but it is just not happening today. As Kylie moves out of the way, Kamila steps closer, still running her mouth, and I just couldn’t help myself. I land a left hook right on the side of her face. However, she recovered quicker than I excepted her too and kicked me in the stomach. At this point, I just see red, and it is on. I charge at her but trip over my own two feet but somehow manage to grab her neck on my way down. I land on top of her and scurry into position, one knee on the mat the other on top of her chest. I start throwing punches left, right, left, right, just like we are taught, except I forget the number one rule always be aware of your surroundings.  In the middle of my beat down, I feel myself being pulled off her, which causes me to take a punch to the face. I do not care to see who it is that is trying to break up our fight. I just elbow them straight in the chest and send my fist backward toward their nose.  As soon as it connected, I immediately regretted it as I caught a glimpse of who it was behind me, but it was too late. The next thing I know, I’m thrown to the mat next to my sister, who has still not moved and has blood gushing from her nose and mouth. -------
