Amelia's POV
“I told you she's crazy.” Lylah's voice echoed and my breath hitched. What have I done?
Eric caught Lylah's hand as it went up to his face.
“I'm fine. Just didn't expect it.” I quickly avoided his gaze when he looked at me.
“You're not. It's swollen.” Lylah insisted. My eyes widened a fraction and I looked at them. This time she succeeded in touching the swollen part.
He didn’t spare her a glance and kept looking at me.
“Luna?” Eric said softly. My eyes were two times its size.
“I-I- hit you. I didn’t mean to. I'm s-sorry.” My heartbeat slowed down.
Lylah's shoulder slumped and her hand dropped from his face. She gave me this dirty look and was about to leave when Eric reached out for me.
“Stop. You're hurting yourself.” I stiffened when his hand touched mine.
