Gerald's POV
“You know the reason, Alpha.” He calmly said with pain-filled eyes.
Pete was still on edge but I forcefully took control from him.
“We have no choice,” I told him and then left him in the safe house.
The next day, I called for a meeting. Eric, Derek, and Larry stared at me for ten minutes without a word. Well, I did the same until Derek sneezed.
“Uhmm, just thank me for breaking this annoying silence.” He rubbed his nose and relaxed back into the bean bag, his usual spot. Derek is quite the opposite of Eric.
Eric shows his respect at all times but Derek, only in rare cases just like the time he called me Alpha after Avery was found dead.
“It’s a good thing then. Let's get to business.” Larry cleared his throat and Eric nodded in approval.
