Kelly’s POV
I woke up very exhausted and I found my baby lying next to me. Sitting on the chair beside my bed was Luke. He’s sleeping and his hand is on my baby’s toe. The genuine care in his actions touched my heart. I know he truly cares and that he’s a good man. I’ve proven that a few months ago. He never left my side. He stayed with me all the time. He kept my secret and took care of me.
I’ve learned to forgive him because of the sincerity he showed. I still don’t completely get why he has to bring me here when he can clearly protect me. Even Pierce can protect me. I trust them both. However, if this is fate's plan, then I’ll accept it. As long as my loved ones are safe.
