Kelly’s POV
“W-What do you want from me?” The little girl asked with a trembling body and fearful eyes. Her tears kept on streaming down her face and she couldn’t move. It was pitch black around her. She doesn’t know where she is and all she knows is a scary man is standing in front of her. At the age of 12, she developed a trauma that she will be carrying for the rest of her life and yes, that little girl is me.
My fear of darkness started when I was 12. Someone kidnapped me and caged me in a room full of darkness. I was kept in that room for 2 days. Nothing to drink. Nothing to eat. I was on the edge of death when my father miraculously came to rescue me. He was my hero. My savior. If it’s not because of him, I wouldn’t find courage to face the world again.
