CHAPTER SIX
Lindsey got nowhere with Morton Kleiner, other than taking the man’s address and telephone number, and even those were grudgingly given. This Kleiner lived in Petaluma. Lindsey hoped that he would be able to avoid further dealings with him, or at worst accomplish them by phone or mail. He did not like the man and he didn’t feel like driving up to Sonoma County to see him.
He sighed wearily.
But the hospital visit hadn’t been a complete waste of time. Mr. Kleiner’s doctor was Parvati Mukerji, an Indian woman who spoke English with precision. She had agreed with Jayjay Smith’s ideas.
