The auditorium was huge and the lighting was dim. Joe Roberts’ status with his friend Buddy Baron mustn’t have been too high. Their seats were halfway up the side tier and half the length of the auditorium from the stage. The flat center of the floor, used for Warriors basketball games, was covered over with temporary seats. Buddy Baron wasn’t too obnoxious an M.C.
