In the winter of 1975, James and Jenny finally thought themselves financially secure enough to take their family back to the United Kingdom for a holiday. They hoped their three children were old enough to appreciate what they would see. They were definitely old enough to appreciate the intolerable tedium of the flight from Sydney to London. It took three good nights sleep in a bed and breakfast before they recovered the mental resilience and energy to travel further. James and Jenny wondered how their children would have coped with the voyage on the Neptune.
