Still waiting

Part 5

They were lying on the bed in each other's embrace. Thanking their stars to giving them their love back.

After some time, Anaika realizes that everyone was must be waiting for them.

"Ranveer" she called him.

He looked at her lovingly.

"I think we should go now," she said.

"Yeah, let's go" he helped in getting up.

Before opening the door, he hugged her again. They distanced their frames and Ranveer holds her hand.

Both smiled and they come out of her room.

When they reached their found everyone was waiting for them. They smiled at seeing them together.

Vidhushi comes to Anaika and hugged her. She didn't need to ask her question because happiness in her eyes was saying everything.

Ranveer looked towards Mr. Aggarwal who was set on the couch. He nervously took some steps towards him.

Anaika looked him confusingly.

He was sweating but he knew he had to talk to her father now, for their future, for his future with Anaika.

"Uncle I wanted to confess something," he said to her father.

Mr. Aggarwal looked him than Anaika, who was nervously looking them. He gestures him to continue.

"I know what I have done with Anaika it's not forgivable. But still, I want to apologize. Today, I want to confess everything." He said looking down.

Mr. Aggarwal looked up to him. He wanted to know him.

Not only, Mr. Aggarwal, everyone has their ears to him. They have seen immense love in his eyes for Anaika. Then why did he leave her?

What were his reasons???

"I left her because I was insecure and scared “

"When I was a child my mom used to be busy in her work and I always felt ignored. Then I decided to marry a simple girl who will just take care of my house. But I fell for Anaika" he smiled looking towards Anaika.

"I fell for a girl who wanted to achieve something. Again my insecurities came, and I thought history is repeating himself. I thought in future she'll also neglect me over her carrier."

"There I was wrong and I left her to save myself from being hurt again."

"When mom left me, that day I realized her importance. She always loved me. She worked all her life just for giving me a better future. And I thought she doesn't love me."

"I always got which I wanted but I never got a perfect family. I also craved for love. And I got that from Anaika. But I lost her in my insecurities and my ego"

"But now I wanted to feel the happiness of a family. I want to become the best person for Anaika"

"I want to become the reason for her every smile"

"I want to make her smile every day”

By now everyone had tears in their eyes. They always saw a rude, egoistic Ranveer but no one knows the reason behind it. No one knows that there was still an innocent boy who was hiding behind him, who wanted to be loved...just loved."

Anaika was crying she wanted to embrace him. She wanted to tell him, how much she loved him. But she didn't move in front of her father.

Mr. Aggarwal also felt bad for him. He can feel his apology because he did wrong with Anaika.

He stood up in front of him.

"I'm no one to forgive you because I also did so many mistakes in my life that to behind no reasons."

"If I can get another chance, then why can't you." Mr. Aggarwal said.

"And I know my daughter's happiness is only with you," Mr.Aggarwal said. He was impressed by his honesty.

Ranveer looked him surprisingly. Mr. Aggarwal nodded to him again and smiled.

Mr. Aggarwal was a changed man now. He knew Anaika can only be happy with Ranveer.

He can see the love in Ranveer's eyes and listening to his side of the story, he was sure that he is better than him for Anaika...

"Can I propose to her?" Ranveer asked him abruptly.

Anaika gasped in shock.

How can he ask this question suddenly?

His move filled her heart with pride. The respect he gave to her father by asking for his permission, she became surer about him.

Mr. Aggarwal looked Anaika first and then smiled at his sincerity.

"Ok," he replied.

Ranveer thanked him whole heartily. Then he turned towards Anaika. Anaika was nervously looking at him.

Though he had proposed her in the past also but that was in college, in front of their friend. But now he was going to propose her in front of her family.

He took that ring which he bought for her and kneeled in front of her.

"Anaika I told you, I'll propose you with an expensive ring. So this time I brought a real and perfect ring."

"I love you Anaika. I love you more than anything. I want to live with you." He said making her eyes moist with tears.

Everyone was in awe with his cute proposal.



"Will you please come to my house as my wife to make it a perfect family?"

"And you don't need to change your surname too if you want" everyone smiled on him.

"Will you marry me?" he said.

She didn't react for some time. She starts sobbing. Ranveer got scared. He stood up worriedly.

"What happened, Anaika??"

"Why are you crying?"

"Did I say something wrong? You don't want to marry you...” he said sadly.

"Shut up you i***t. I love you and I'll marry you" she said.

"Ranveer ring" Vidhushi said.

Both looked towards the ring.

He slowly slides that ring in her finger.

"Thank you," he said looking in her eyes.

She smiled; her tears were still falling from her eyes. He whipped them.

"I hate them," he said.

They turned to her father and touched his feet for his blessings.

He hugged them.

"You are happy," he asked her while breaking the hug.

"So much happy papa, this birthday is my best birthday ever. Today I had my papa and Ranveer both"

"I'm solo happy," she said and hugged him again.

Ankit came and hugged Ranveer.

And they also resolve their past bitterness.
